***TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs Leeds OMT***

Another test for a team improving.

Not an easy game, but like Palace, a game we should back ourselves to win if we want to be in Europe

I'd generally agree, but i'd take a draw for now whilst our attack is still not reliable (only one person with more than a goal to his name and taht person being a defender).

If we keep a clean sheet again i'd be very happy tbh. Leeds are tough at Elland Road...

If Fernandes is currently playing at only 50-60%, I can't wait until he gets close to 100! That will be something!

You can see there is more, i think you can see there is more in that middle three (with Tonali/Maddison), also think we can get more out of Kudus, Tel, Savio.

I think the fan base sets the tone of the club. In paticular the media fans we have covering the club. We embrace the "sexy" and "dr tottenham" stuff way to much and it filters in to the players and staff.

So, if we walk around and say "we are the biggest in London" or "Spurs are on their way to the CL final" every time we qualify for the CL that will make our players better? Really?

Was it "fatalist" Spurs fans that meant we have lost so many FA Cup semi-finals since GHod knows when? Was this a factor when we beat Man Utd in the EL final 18 months ago or was it the reason we could barely pass through our midfeild to make attacking chances most of last season?

Where do our wins or losses become because of the fans and when are they 'despite' the fans? Where are the lines drawn?

Anyone who has spoken to an expro should realise most think fans know F.A. about playing at the level they did, I do think a negative crowd in the ground can effect some players performance and most people perform better when they feel supported.
I found in the last couple of seasons I attended home games the atmosphere soon turned very sour and I got no enjoyment being there, players probably felt the same.

You're right that any sportsman/woman - especially one in a team sport - will likely perform better when they feel more supported.

I just have to ask anyone with a notion that Spurs fans are 'fatalistic' etc to go into detail as to where that line gets drawn. I mean, was it because of the fans that Spurs often will pull a defeat from the jaws of victory, eg. the numerous FA Cup semi final anti-climaxes even when in great positions or facing teams which we'd have bet our houses on wining against - Portsmouth cough cough - the relegation form of the last two seasons (i mean we lost a lot of away games too).
I don't think the 'Spurzy' tag isn't just made up by Gooners...

You can see it—look at how some players engage with the supporters; they ask the fans for encouragement.
For instance, Tel recently asked the crowd for support, and Lewis did the same during the last match—we need to show our support

You’ve jumped to an extreme.

You can be confident without being arrogant and delusional. You can have a laugh at yourself without being self deprecating. Terms like “Spusry” which actually meant something completley different 10 years ago, got bastardised by rival fans and media and the fanbase has now adopted it. It’s absolutely rubbed off on the players as well. Dozens of interviews with players show that,

I agree.
I hate the term ‘sexy’
I was appalled that we allowed Nike to sell a tshirt with that word post Europa Final as some sort of reclaim attempt!
