FFS just buy Lankshear back already. Another 2 tonight.

Top scorer in the whole of England all comps. AWFUL decision to let him go

I watched the game and both goals were put on a plate for Lankshear to tap in… think that even Solanke would score for fun leading the line for Smoggies in the Championship, like when he scored 30 goals for Bournemouth in the season they got promoted.

If Will can score with such regularity in PL then I might have seller’s regret though!

but thats his whole game, hang around and wait for opportunities, which he does very well. bottom line is we should've given him an opportunity

It's a priceless attribute, I've said this for a couple of years this boy will score goals, he has the natural instinct to be in the right place when it matters

"Will Lankshear's movement was ridiculously good tonight, and he is a joy to watch," he added.

"In every game I've seen him in, he has learned to mix up how he plays. He's changing up his runs, coming deep, and he is getting better and better as the season goes on."

Whether goal hanging when you aren’t blessed with Haaland’s pace will prove to be effective in the top flight remains to be seen but the standard of defending in the Championship is significantly lower, as we saw when we thrashed (at the time) table topping Charlton in the FAC.

Hopefully we’ll see Lankshear racking up similar numbers in the PL next season then we can bring him home…

hardly thrashed them. they matched us for a lot of the game and needed our new £75m signing to come off the bench to change the flow. Charlton are now 19th in the champ.

I think you need to watch lankshear more if you think he's just goal hanging. He'll be in the prem one way or the other soon and no doubt get an England call
