Rodrigo Bentancur

Ours today were, IMO absolutely that
They didn’t do club wrong at all
And I’m not fan of at least one of them

I thought they were permanently too high, left way too much room in behind for United to run into.

van Hecke was gash for the goal.

they did most things outside of that competently enough

Never a good look when I lose it in front of my adult daughters by screaming obscenities at the TV on a Saturday evening, but basically what I said - both repeatedly and loudly. 😃

I was in a pub and an Ipswich fan told me it was right Bentacur was red carded and a him getting thrown is NOT a red card
I didnt know he was an Ipswich fan so had a right old argument with the bell end
Turns out his mates were all united and he clearly had their blinkers on

Thought they had a really sound game
Passed the ball exceptionally well apart form for the red card
The gaol united scored was great movement from a Mbuemo but rarely now does anyone credit the attacker

I was actually going to post for all the criticism Van hecke gets on here, he had a good game (one of the statistical sites had him in team of the season so far after first 5 games).

But then he fudged up later in the second half no doubt. But I will maintain he's nowhere near as bad as has been made out, him and Senesi both looked solid. In fact considering the amount of excuses that were made for Romero on a weekly basis for his fudge ups, I'd still say Van Hecke had a good game :D....

After watching the game I'm pleased I don't play anymore, I just have no idea of what is a foul and what is not. I said to my son I don't think the players know either, hardly anyone can tackle properly and they all grab, push or pull opponents. I believe this has come about as referees let so much go and there is not consistency in their decisions.

rodrigo should have stayed down and clutched his throat - that would have gotten shaw a red card

we don't do well with professional fouls - not in the club ethos i guess but we have and will be severely disadvantaged until the refs get it right

Absolutely. Make a meal out of it, feign injury, scream, look like you're really, really hurt - we need to do it, because it works. It's something I really hate about the modern game, but when refs fall for it and the football authorities don't do anything to fix it, you gotta play by the rules they govern by.

For me, I agree he is decent but his main fudge up was overcommitting in his tackle when he misplaced his pass. It was this that led to Bents being sent off in a subsequent passage of play.
