Naughty Emirates Marketing Project - Spot of Compo??

Makes you realise how much more others would have had to have done to compete to the levels to win things regularly and which the fans demand.

Look at the state of what was won by City (top) and Chelsea (bottom)

I will repeat it, utterly insane how much we and others were cheated out of silverware that actually being a well run club (despite complaints on here) would have and should have delivered for us and others.

As someone on here yesterday said, fans should be much more angry about this stuff

Purley from a Spurs perspective. How much did the period between 2010/11 and 2016/17 without Champions League Football push us backwards. Could we have kept Bale & Modric longer. Who else could we have signed. Played like Dzeko, Hazard, Moutinhio, Cahill were deals that fell through over a few Million. Put them in to Redknapp/AVB/Pochettinos team and where could we have gone.

That 2011/2012 Season we had lost 1 in 19 games before going to City and losing 3-2. The form was never the same after that.

The sheet manipulation of the market had years of impact, impact we are seeing now. Someone made an analysis (I will dig it out) online about the market being at least 20% 30% higher now in fees and wages because of the impact of the two clubs (and others) and their attitude to transfers. The knock on being that others over spent and tried and still try to compete to what was a fabricated level that has proven for many clubs to not be sustainable.

When you peel the onion its actually frightening the whole thing.

I couldn't care about those that mock on here, but it makes Levy's time here much move vindicated and in one of the only about 4/5 interviews he gave he warned of this (I think it was the Neville interview).

We lost out on Dias directly to City as well, if my memory is correct

That was the game when Balotelli stepped on the head of some Spurs player unpunished, and then went on to score the winner, wasn't it?
