The appeal will probably take just as long as it's taken the reach these verdicts as the three person appeal panel will have to examine how the verdicts were reached on the evidence available.

Just shows all those who predicted money would talk and that the Abu Dhabi government would intervene got it wrong.

Can we put in a cheeky bid for Haaland in the January window.

I think the jury is out on this, nothing has been decided in terms of punishment or what sanctions will be set. Financial penalties will have no effect on them.

If they have been found guilty on so many charges then the minimum they will get is a points deduction, the precedent was set in the Everton case and the legal profession love a precedent they will look back at previous judgements and use the same guide lines. Below is from the Everton case.

135. We have no doubt that the circumstances of this case are such that only a sporting sanction in the form of a points deduction would be appropriate. A financial penalty for a club that enjoys the support of a wealthy owner is not a sufficient penalty. We agree with the Premier League that the requirements of punishment, deterrence, vindication of compliant clubs, and the protectionof the integrity of the sport demand a sporting sanction in the form of a points deduction. The issue is not the form of sanction, but its extent

I hope the Club (and other PL clubs) are seeking legal advice over us seeking a fairly large chunk of compensation from city for missed revenue after missing out on CL/EL due to city cheating.

We must have missed out on 200 million plus.

League Champions 2016/2017. Carabao Cup winners 2021.

We should go the whole way and prove that Leicester and Liverpool were doping so that'll be 2 leagues, a CL and LC we'll be retrospectively awarded. The game is about glory.

That'll then bring Levy's trophy average above our historical average so he'll be paraded shoulder-high down the High Road by his fiercest critics. Amazing.

It's a funny old game...

Given the time we can expect any appeal process to take the owners could take the option of selling the club and new owners could argue that they should not be held responsible for misdemeanours of previous owners who should be fined. I don't know how the legal process works in sporting issues, I have little confidence in them being relegated or being stripped of the titles they bought, points deductions would have to be massive to make any impact if they were for one season.
