I really didn’t fancy them to retain because it’s a tough thing to do. Sadly, I can’t really make a proper case for any other team to win the league this season.

They're getting more and more insufferable. Not the older generation, the new 'middle class' and 'Ashburton army' generation. Horrible...
Having said that I agree with @DeanoAustin that they'll win it again.
Only other teams I can see putting in a challenge are City and Chelsea.
Really want us to give them a proper game this season, last seasons 2 games were an embarrassment.

Much like last season they won't "win" it, everyone else will lose it.
The top teams are poor and will be for at least another season, arsenal are taking advantage of it.

I just hope we actually put up a proper fight against those gobby Goons this season for a change, as we’ve only picked up 1 measly point against them in the past 8 league games which is (I believe) our worst run against them in entire history of NLD
Sickening to think that if we’d simply picked up as many points against them as we did against €iteh last season then they wouldn’t have ended their long wait for a title and I wouldn’t have to keep seeing glory hunting tacos wearing their shirts on a daily basis.

I find it heartening that it seems a lot of top level attackers don't want to join them, even with their position as current champions.

Yeah, There was a post mentioning this on Twitter or somewhere recently. He lambasted Eze once for not tracking a runner and left him out for 16 matches or something and the post was saying potential signings might now be put off by his defence first attitude etc.
Im not complaining.. they missed a huge opportunity to really cement themselves this summer haven't they?

Certainly, i'm delighted they didn't get Vinicius Junior, Morgan Rogers, Julian Alvarez or Victor Osimhen.They'd have probaly had the PL title locked up for another couple of years...

It's strange that virtually nothing is being made of the fact that they couldn't attract any of these players yet there's endless articles about us signing on loan a player from Chelsea who is nothing other than a back up.
