There was me thinking the Ndiyie(sp) and Richie were separate deals?
They are, but perhaps the fee received for Richy enables the Ndiaye purchase

This is him refusing to take a pay cut to join Everton.
So is this him saying I want to stay stop forcing me out or him saying he wants to leave. I’m unsure.

“
After everything I've been through in the last few years, I decided that NEVER AGAIN would anyone decide my future for me. I went through a lot of bad things during that time, and almost all of them happened because of decisions made by other people. Pressure, threats, retaliation—none of that scares me. I've been through worse things... believe me!
I've always made it clear, at every opportunity, that any move of mine to another place would also have to be good for the club. If it wasn't, I would never accept it... just like I didn't accept it when everything here was falling apart and they needed me. I stayed and gave my life. So, I hope they treat my situation with the same respect that I've always had for the Spurs and for all the people who worked with me during this period. Just don't try to decide for me.”
Perhaps he could've made this decision a little earlier than Deadline Day...
It’s not deadline day, yet. I’m sure if he has put out a statement it means he’s probably communicated stuff privately before now. This I assume is him trying to push home his point.Perhaps he could've made this decision a little earlier than Deadline Day...

There’s an extra piece to that I posted in the transfer thread

As I posted elsewhere, I am convinced we’ll be relying on him to score goals for us at some point this seasonGood for him!!!!!
I thought that was a very heartfelt and honest statement.
He has my backing as a human being regardless of what happens for us as a club.
If anyone actually gives a brick about him, they should be mindful of his self-declared mental health issues, and his subsequent strength in addressing them.
I know I am in a firm minority here when I say if sticks around I will not be unhappy as he is another kind of striker - one that scores scruffy goals.
I personally have little doubt that he and RDZ could still work together very well. They both seem quite passionate and on the sleeve, so if he is here on Wed AM, I think it'll be 'I love u let's do this' and onwards!

Agree totally. Just hope the rest of the match going fans do too. If he stays he needs to be fully supportedFairly happy for him to stay tbh, I think at this point in the season he’s nodding in a last minute equaliser or winner to nab us a point we would otherwise miss.
Is he the best striker ever? Of course not, but he’s scored some important goals and if there isn’t a good move for him, I’m not going to have a go at the bloke for staying and putting the work in.
My issue with Richy is not the goals he scores but the fact he offers absolutely nothing outside of the box and is very often a complete embarrassment to watch. As I posted elsewhere, I am convinced we’ll be relying on him to score goals for us at some point this season

I’m not trying to “win a debate” here. I’m giving an opinion. That seems to be something people have forgotten how to do these days — everything has to be about “winning”, “owning” someone or scoring points. Not every disagreement needs a victor.
I’ll hold my hands up on the football stuff. I do get frustrated with our players, particularly on matchdays, and sometimes that frustration spills over into criticism that’s unfair or gets too personal. When it does, I’m perfectly happy to acknowledge it and apologise. I’m not above admitting when I’ve gone too far.
But I’m also frustrated by what I see as a wider problem at the club: we hold on to players for too long, fail to replace them adequately and then wonder why the same weaknesses keep coming back. And frankly, I don't think a football forum needs to be a permanent exercise in positivity and rose-tinted glasses. Sometimes people are going to be tinkled off. Sometimes there’s going to be venting. That’s part of supporting a football club. As long as people can debate it without making it personal, I don’t see the problem.
What I find particularly odd, though, is that you’ve brought my views on trans athletes into a thread about Richarlison. Why? What exactly does my opinion on that subject have to do with a discussion about a Tottenham player?
If you want to have a separate discussion about trans athletes and women’s sport, then fine — I’m happy to have it. But dragging it into an unrelated football thread because you disagree with my views seems like a pretty transparent attempt to make the discussion about me rather than what I actually said about Richarlison.
And for the avoidance of doubt, I’m not going to apologise for having a different opinion from you. I’m certainly not going to apologise for refusing to adopt a particular view.
You’re entitled to your opinion and I’m entitled to mine. What I object to is the attitude that anyone who questions the prevailing position needs to be lectured, morally judged or shamed into agreeing. That isn't debate. That's moral policing.
My position on women’s sport is straightforward: I think women deserve a genuinely fair and safe competitive category. If there is a possibility that trans athletes who have experienced male puberty retain physiological advantages that matter competitively, I think those concerns deserve to be taken seriously rather than simply dismissed as prejudice.
The science isn't completely settled on every aspect of this issue, which is precisely why I think caution is sensible. When there is uncertainty over fairness and safety, I don't think it's unreasonable to put the burden of proof on those arguing for inclusion to demonstrate that women's sport isn't being disadvantaged.
That isn't hatred. It isn't some extremist position. And it certainly doesn't make me a bad person.
You don't have to agree with me. But if we're going to have a debate, let's actually debate the issue rather than dragging unrelated subjects into a Richarlison thread and trying to turn a disagreement over football into a judgement on someone's character.
