Lemonade Money

Sugar may of saved us from a financial mess, but put us in a football mess. The squads were severely lacking, and the financial clout we missed with the CL boat, took Levy years to regain.
Sorry which seasons are you referring to? We finished 4th once since 2019
Levy’s last six full seasons:
2019/20: 6th
2020/21: 7th
2021/22: 4th
2022/23: 8th
2023/24: 5th
2024/25: 17th
This summer doesn’t happen without Levy’s vision and work. We’d be in a similar position to Saudi Sportswashing Machine and Villa without him. The people currently running the club have a platform to do what they’re doing because of Levy regardless of what you make of his 25 years in charge.Don't waste your breath.
Levy = bad
No Levy = good
Some of the comments about how much better it is without him are laughable. Let's just see how it plays out.
Any club wanting to build a new stadium, would be nuts not to employ Levy to oversee it.I hope that somebody buys his stake and he gets a chance to run something significant as the majority owner.

You said 6-7 years
Well if you include Poch’s last full season then yes we did finish 4th. But my point was it’s been by and large a downward trajectory since we sacked him, only one top 4 finish and finishing in the bottom half. Unless you think the league finishes I highlighted constitute progress?
Of course you include Poch’s last year if you are going back 7 years. Which is the time period you set.
Well even so it’s 2 top 4 finishes in 7 years. I ask again is that progress on what Poch delivered in terms of league finishes?
on what Poch Delivered? Did that have nothing to do with Levy then?
Because that means what came after Poch had nothing to do with Levy either.
But you ain’t gonna agree with that are you?
Let me ask you a question.
Apart from the Levy era when in a 7 year period did we finish top four more than twice.
I’m guessing in the 60s and maybe … maybe the 80s. If so two decades out of our history match up levy’s worst period… are you getting it yet?
Of course it had something to do with Levy. He’s partly responsible when we succeed and when we fail.
I already mentioned previous eras where we achieved multiple top four finishes, and trophies.
The question you keep refusing to answer, are the league finishes 4th, 6th, 7th, 4th, 8th, 5th, 17th what progression looks like? Should Levy have had a lifetime pass because he improved upon his predecessor?
I don’t think there’s any question that we went backwards since Poch left from a football standpoint but you clearly disagree. Finishing outside of the top 4 more frequently than we finished inside it including a 17th place finish is clearly an improvement on what Poch (and Levy) had achieved previously.
