Look I get it. He’s ever present in news cycles, he says and does outlandish and crazy things, he’s larger than life and he’s the meanest, most politically incorrect president in my lifetime. I used to get annoyed daily in his first time. I was staggered at how people can vote for such a vain, self-obsessed, ignorant man. I decided when he won again that I wasn’t going to let it get to me anymore. He is who he is and he’s probably going to live to be 1000. I just think people take the bait with him too easily on occasion. I understand why people are upset when he’s responsible for the cost of living increasing and it hitting them in their pockets, but the stuff like the ballroom is superficial and not worth the time and energy to worry about IMO.

It’s about the flagrant abuse of presidential powers, and it is part of a pattern of that. He hopes people will increasingly react to it exactly like you are; with a shrug of the shoulders, allowing him to continue to extend his abuse into more and more areas of life.

It’s just Trump being Trump; Putin being Putin; Xi being Xi…

Starting next fall, the university’s College of Literature, Science, and the Arts will give pass/no credit grades, rather than traditional letter grades, to students in their first semester. Officials say the move is meant to ease new students into the college experience.

UK university first year grades have never counted towards final awards, students just need a basic pass mark (40%) in everything to proceed. And its designed like that exactly because all 6th forms/foreign schooling are different, so most of the first year is getting all students up to a level ready for degree work.
 
Seems the Cleveland police are throwing everything behind following up on the alleged criminal activities of the family and friends of those who killed the 2 police officers.
Things that perhaps they didn’t have resources for previously will now will be pursued to the nth degree.

Nah I think it’s fine. Having gone from a British school to a US Uni the first 2 years are an absolute breaze. Stuff I was learning at GCSE I was learning in year 2 at University. Most of your classes are not relevant to your major as well.

I remember when a CSE was the 'lesser' grade at school ( O level was the one)...and a CSE is second year Uni here???? My word...
(don't say it, I'm showing my age LOL)
