World Cup 2026: Mexico, USA and Canada

England have been very fortunate with the weather in all their games so far (plus the games in air con stadiums)...that ends tonight. Yes, it's the same for both sides but if we play an aggressive running type game, it's undoubtedly harder in these conditions. What will help is having a deeper bench.

Another small factor when dealing with Haaland, is it might be worth taking into consideration that Guehi and Stones see this machine close up in training everyday. Playing with him and against him. That may help in some small way in containing the fella.

Took the boy swimming this morning, pottered around, did a shop, accidentally walked into a local … had one too many, carried on at home… got told by the Mrs to get down the pub before I pass out at home … nothing to see here. Come on England!

Put these fake vikings to sleep

I go back and forth between a close game that Norway might nic or an easy 3-1 England win. I certainly do not see Norway winning an easy game.

For England I think it's the guys outside Kane and Jude. You know they will show up and be good. How good is Rice? Does Saka or Gordon step up? All it takes is one of them to be good and England will be too much.

Yet better than Saka
I think Saka was picked against Mexico as he is the better option for assisting in defense when the gameplan was to absorb the Mexican energy up until the first hydration break.

I think a Stones-Guehi partnership is the best CB paring against their club teammate, Haaland, as they play against him every day and will know his movements and preferences better than anyone else in the squad.

Not sure about Konsa at RB against Nusa but I expect he will form a back three out of possession allowing O'Reilly to push up further and support the attack.

I agree with all of that.

I think Saka is clearly out of sorts though, possibly carrying an injury.

I think we'll see Spence at RB before the night is out.

Nusa is on the bench

Allright people, good game! Oslo is turned upside down. I just hope it’s a battle instead of an easy game for England. Could easily be 4-0 England, this.

There really isn't that much between the two teams imo, I don't think there will be more than a goal in it, only way that would be the case is if England really brick themselves.
