If true I'm very disappointed with Stokes, England have stuck with him after other incidents and this looks like he's take the tinkle. Might be an old fashioned view but I believe players who have been made captain of their nation team are expected to behave in a responsible manner. I think he's a good captain when playing and appears to have the backing of his team, there far more to the job than playing cricket and he doesn't seem to get this.

Fantastic batsmen, find it odd to come on an overseas series and then retire one game into it but whatever - all the best to him....

Much as the England setup admire Bethell I think he needs to go away and play some red ball cricket, learn to build an innings, no3 is a crucial position in the batting line up, Root is virtually playing as an opener again.

Yeah he's been great, inspirational spells with bat and ball and the centre piece of some great moments in English cricket.
