The result covered cracks for France. People rightly complement their attack, but their defence look anything but solid and this could be their undoing.

If Norway hadn't of missed that penalty and made it 3-2 it would have been an uncomfortable final part of the match for France against a second string Norway - Haaland would have had a field day, Upamecano doesn't look a very good defender anytime I see him and can be got at....

Yeah, Norway apparently won the xG. Bobb ran them in circles at will, but couldn’t hit a barn door if his life depended on it. I don’t get Upamecano either, supposedly one of the world’s best defenders, but has never looked it to me.

Resting the first team was probably the overall smart thing to do, but there’s obviously going to be this negative gnawing narrative now until Tuesday about how we threw the game and disrespected this that and the other. Haaland won’t care, and I hope and think the other ones won’t either.

Just tried youtube WC highlights on my Windows 10 desktop, tried the Uruguay game for a few seconds I get a perfect picture.

Re other complaints of coverage , if its about the TV feed that is provided by HBS Host Broadcast Services, that's the feed that BBC & ITV receive plus many other national broadcasters, obviously they have their own commentators and pundits, can't commentate on the coverage as I haven't watched any of it . Waiting for the real stuff to start again in August

I understand giving players minutes in a tournament, but I also believe in momentum.... I think some Germany and US hurt themselves a little. The bench has to be good enough to maintain effort at a minimum.
