Luka Vuskovic

He's 19, never played in the PL and has one concern that hasn't really been tested (pace)

We are buying Senesi & JVH who's main attributes are passing, it's about immediately sorting some of our passing/buildup issues.

If we kept Vuskovic in house, with VDV, Senesi, Danso and JVH, he won't get to start every game, regardless of how talented. A loan in UK makes sense (gets him association trained) and gives him another year of playing every game.
Brighton are a much better side than us. If he's starting for Brighton, he should probably be captaining us

Why is everyone talking about loaning him out?? We should PLAY him! We've come 17th two fudging years in a row! If we don't have time to develop a huge talent, who's played almost every game for a year at a similar level, we might as well just shut down the entire club. We won't be fighting for the title next season. Next season is building for the one after that, and that's why he should be playing for us, regularly.
Yeah. Just start Spence-Vuskovic-van de Ven-Udogie every league game, and let them become the Walker-Alder-Verts-Rose for the next 5+ years.

Conference league is League One standard for the most part.
My point was he would still be getting experience of playing teams with different styles from other leagues and playing two games per week.

Also, keeping him out of the limelight for another year or two could be instrumental for his development too.

The fact that he's been so good in the Bundesliga at 19 shows he's immensely talented, but the PL is a whole different ball game. He looks the kind of player who steps up, and I think he probably will at PL level too, but a loan and some more experience seems more sensible to me.

There's also a reason RDZ played the senior guys in the run in to save us from relegation - that's not the kind of environment most young players thrive in. That also tells me Vuskovic won’t be getting much game time for us next season.

I hear you, and I don’t really disagree with the reasoning - but if the hottest prospect in Europe can’t get a look in playing for our defense that leaked goals last season - then who the hell from our youth system ever will? We need to be better at embedding younger players into the squad - not always opting for the safe option. Playing Vusko there is a freebie, in my opinion, with how well he has performed. It also sends a signal to the player if you keep on not really trusting him by loaning him out.

We have a lot of talented young players now - guys like Williams Barnett or Moore - they will never get a chance because they have to prove themselves at Hearts, Oxford, Herenveen, Stuttgart, Palace, Swansea until they’re ready, and then they’re either off to Chelsea or have retired at 33. We suck at giving youth players a chance - we really should start trying it.

Why would we agree a sell on clause to Brighton, this must be made up. Never heard of that type of clause being given to a club that never owned the player.
Makes sense when you think about it as they would be incentivized to develop him as best as possible.

it sounds like a way to get around two-party ownership rules.

And may be less of a fit to De Zerbi’s tactics than VH. I really hope we only loan Vuskovic. If we sell then has to be for a LOT more than £30m.
Hes worth more than VH. Lots of top clubs after him. We could get 60 mill from Bayern i bet.
Maybe a loan to a PL side with us having the option of a recall in January.
Id prefer though if we had him back for a pre season and De Zerbi has a good look at him.
