Here's a question for you. Since people of other colors than white living in "your" country obviously is a problem for you, because this is only about color and nothing else, because there is never any debate about Americans, Germans or other Europeans living there. Which countries do you think have most "problems" with immigrants? Those who treat them like any other people and integrate them into the society, or countries in which people view them as enemies and lesser people and shut them out?

The definition of being liberal is something like supporting individual freedom based on democratic representation, civil rights, human rights, secularism and equality in law.

Which part of that don't you agree with as you obviously classify yourself as anti-liberal? Democratic representation? Civil rights? Human rights? Equality in law?

What countries are you speaking about where there is not a major part of the population that has strong feelings about limiting immigration?

It’s not about race it’s about culture. You should have stricter immigration policy for countries where the populations views regarding women’s rights, homosexuality etc are not in line with your own. If there was a civil war in the US and a bunch of fundamentalist Christian white people from Texas who want to carry guns because it’s their GHod given right wanted to move to the UK you would be well within your rights to say fudge off.

Its a relevant question, we have had loads of cultures who have integrated into the UK who have prospered because of 1 - more acceptance & 2 - longer term term getting over initial barriers, so to you point, people now view them like any other people. No one can tell me that originally Orthodox Jewish (I should know), Chinese, Turkish, Korean are any more closely aligned with British "cultural values" (British values, thats a laugh) but they have been able to thrive and we are better for it IMO.

Half of this comes from a level of superiority complex of where we think we are with values and where others are, realistically we are not as far advanced on womens and homosexuality rights in this country than people may want to believe, despite what is written into law.

I you be in favor of stricter immigration laws on countries where a higher number of people do not share to those values. Glad we agree.

So you therefore believe everyone from one place must be culturally the same because what is written into the law and that there might not actually be homosexuals or many that sympathise with their cause in Yemen. Its so fcuking small minded.
