Next seasons squad

Nah, he's pretty poor by most goalkeeping metrics iirc got by on being comfortable on the ball, eventually found out.
I thought he was good for Bournemouth, good for Arsenal (many were surprised they brought in Reya) I thought he did pretty well at Saudi Sportswashing Machine coming in as their back up keeper as well. Who would you prefer that we got as a loan/very low money signing if we were bringing in a back up keeper for Kinksy?

You expected our centre forward to be able to score goals playing Frank ball? Just about the only chance you'll ever get is a header from a corner or a half chance from a second ball after a long throw.

I'll be happy if we sign a new centre forward this summer (I think Richi will be sold) but think it would be sensible to keep Solanke so that we have a second option. I also think he will be quite suited to RDZ's high pressing game (Solanke did quite well playing in Ange's high pressing system I thought).
I don't think Solanke has Richys track record to be called a better striker. One season on double figures for Solanke. 5 for Richarlison - and he has played for some brick teams.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think Richy is the answer. Neither are good enough but if we keep one, we keep the one that has scored more goals regularly than Solanke

I expect us to sell the one that would make us the most PSR profit and keep the one that would make us the least PSR profit (or perhaps a PSR loss).

Like I say his goalkeeping metrics were pretty low at both - i remember there being quite a bit of surprise that Arsenal went for him after his time at Bournemouth, he's quite error prone and poor from distance. Arsenal fans liked him cos he was a character that built a rapport with the fans but his performances two seasons running cost them points and Arteta rightly looked to upgrade.

So who is your choice then as a loan/very low money signing if we were bringing in a back up keeper for Kinksy?

Also where are those 'goalkeeping metrics' I'm interested to see them.

Why do i need to offer an alternative to validate my position? I've got more things going on in my life than to be an armchair scout 😂 Ramsdale was a starter for Arsenal and on the fringes of the national team briefly so was aware of the talking points around him at the time - He was quite low down on things like shot to save ratio and goals conceded vs xg faced or whatever the stat is. He won't be a starter for anyone above Championship level.

He wasn't going to be a starter for us either.... He was a suggestion if we're looking for a back-up for Kinksy.

We spent that last summer, if we don't have significantly more than that, the wool has been pulled over our eyes again.
We had CL football this season, we have no european football at all next season. I doubt we will spend as much this summer as we did last summer. The club can't actually sustain the sort of net spend level that we have been making these past few years (even more so if we're pushing the wage to turnover ratio up).

Spending 'better' is the key not just spending 'more'. Stopping the flip-flop in managerial style of play may help somewhat here.

Aren't there different rules for Europe and PL? (I am hoping that we do manage to get back into Europe in the not too distant future)

If a Premier League club qualifies for Europe:

It must comply with both:

  • UEFA SCR (70%)
  • Premier League SCR (85%)
Because UEFA’s limit is lower, UEFA rules override for European competition.

🔹 If a club does not qualify

Only the Premier League SCR (85%) applies.

UEFA’s financial system caps squad spending at 70% of club revenue
Premier League’s own SCR limits squad spending to 85% of football-related revenue.

Some oddities in there, almost too bad Chelsea didn't qualify for Europe as zero chance they meet any of the regulations

As some one said previously Dubravka gk, M Fernandes deep lying passing midfielder, Omar Marmoush and or Jr Kroupi. Marmoush could be gettable but Kroupi is already coveted.

In a situation where you have a young keeper in Kinsky as your potential starter you'd want a GK in reserve that is capable of coming in and being a starter for a long spell/full time if Kinsky flopped (which is a possibility due to his lack of game time to price himself ready) we would be in trouble if we had to rely on Ramsdale in such an instance.

Outs: Vicario, Romero, Dragusin, Davies, Bissouma, Sarr, Solomon, Richarlison

GKs : Kinsky + New GK + Austin
LB : Udogie + New LB + Souza
RB : Porro, Spence
CB : VDV + New CB
CB : Danso + Vuskovic
CM : Gray + Bentancur + New CM
CM : Maddison + Bergvall
AM : Xavi + New AM
LW : Tel + New LW
RW : Kudus + Odobert + Kulusevski
CF : Solanke + New CF

For the new players - depends on how much we have to spend but my options would be:

1. Keeper:
Ramsdale - capable back-up that knows the league and we'd be comfortable if he had to come in and play lots of games.
If we're looking for a first choice then I really like Robin Risser at Lens.
Gregor Kobel at Dortmund is another excellent keeper but would be expensive and probably difficult to persuade to come to Spurs.
Jose Sa from Wolves is a solid keeper with only a year left on his deal if we're looking for a cheap, dependable back-up.
Only ones id consider there are Risser and Sa… and Risser would be thinking first choice 100%
2. Left back:
Robertson - the club needs his influence in the dressing room. Having a player who has won everything and knows how clubs that want or even EXPECT to win things do things differently.
If Robertson opts for a move to another country instead of staying in the PL then Rico Henry from Brentford would be a solid option, Brentford have a year's option on his contract so he wouldn't be free but I don't think he'd cost huge money.
If we've got money to spend then Nathaniel Brown from Frankfurt would be a great option.
I also liked the look of El Hadji Malick Diouf at West Ham if we want to pick the bones of the relegated.
DIouf has been mustard fro the spam. He will be signed by a side as curve ball signing and people will take more notice
Brown has had some real ups and downs and I don’t think he has made tye Germany squad for the WC

3. Centre back:
Senesi is an obvious choice on a free transfer. Has proven himself as really competent at Bournemouth and would be able to slot right in at Spurs.
Depending on whether or not we want to bring in Vuskovic now or let him have another year on loan, John Stones would be another really good option on a free transfer, another player who knows what it takes to be in a winning dressing room. Him, Senesi, VDV and Danso would be great depth and we could then sell one of those next summer if we wanted to bring in Vuskovic.
Senesi is a done deal and a no brainer. Left footers are harder to get and he wants to come here to get in the Argentina squad more, as well as a pay day
I’d like to see Philips get a chance if we’re loaning Vuscovic back out
4. Centre midfield:
Curtis Jones could be gettable from Liverpool. He is combative, good on the ball, moves well and is creative passer
I'd love us to have another go for Gibbs White but I can't see that one flying.
Elliot Anderson is also top class but I think he'll be off to one of the big boys.
A curveball could be Eduardo Camavinga from Real Madrid. I wonder if we went in big and early we might be able to persuade him?
Mateus Fernandez at West Ham really impressed me, but I think he'll be very expensive.
If we want a young player who isn't quite ready but could explode in a year or two's time then Kees Smit from AZ Alkmaar would be the player I went for.
I also really like Angelo Stiller at Stuttgart and think we could afford his transfer fee and wage demands and Spurs is a nice step up for him.
Stiller is the one for me. Technically great and very dynamic. A nice contrast with what we have
Smitt could be anything
I’d also look at Hayden Hackney and Tyler Morton to get closer to HG
Anderson is the best CM in the league imo and I suspect a lot of big money offers will come in for him in the summer and I think one will be from Bayern
5. Left wing:
I really rate Said El Mala at FC Koln, I think he is already ready for PL football even though he is still improving.
A bit of a left field one and relies on Barca not being able to afford him but Marcus Rashford could be a good option for us.
Igor Paixao at Marseille is a bit underrated I think and I wonder whether De Zerbi might raid his old club?
Mitoma is another that De Zerbi has worked with and another who only has a year left on his deal though has been somewhat injury prone.
I wonder whether Jack Grealish might be a left field option depending on how De Zerbi wants to play?
I said rashford a few weeks ago. Great fit imo
El Mala has had a great season and it’s why Brentford want him … they do know player
I’d warm up to Savio if the fee was sensible
Summerville will also be one talked of I’m sure
6. Attacking midfield:
I've always liked Charles De Kettelare and think he could be a good option for us.
Kang In Lee from PSG is another player that I think would do well in the PL and surely at some point soon he'll want to go to play more?
Both brilliant options and can also operate wide. Kane will leave psg now I think and he has such good qualities Witt the ball and does great running off it
Would CDK want another big move after Milan. Was a east before he joined them and Atlanta has revitalised him
7. Centre Forward:
Perhaps the hardest position of all to fill. Nick Woltemade has something about him though I think Saudi Sportswashing Machine would want £70m+ for him.
Thiago has has a great season at Brentford but I think, again, he'd be similar sort of money.
We have been linked with Samu Aghehowa from Porto but I think he is another player out with an ACL tear.
I know he has his detractors but Nicolas Jackson could be an option if Chelsea aren't silly with their valuation.
Palace's Mateta only has a year of his contract left and has proven he can score in the PL.
Dusan Vlahovic is on a free transfer but hasn't kicked on at all from the promise he showed a few years ago.
Woltemade is one for sure along with Mateta that I’d be looking at
Very different players of course but both super effective in different ways
Kroupi too if you throw money at it
Jackson has raw talent but the fees they were asking for him are madness

If we are serious about challenging for a CL spot next season we need to be setting our sights higher than Mateta and Woltemade.
