The algorithm has well and truly fooled you in to posting nonsense regularly hasn't it. You haven't shown someone who can't speak English. And I swear, some of the reform candidates might as well not be speaking English. And they are born and bred here.

This is flat out racism. If you look at this and think this and feel uncomfortable then I can only assume you are bothered by a lack of white people.

The hugely intolerant Muslims of the UK are voting for a gay jewish man.

That either shows bad Starmer is, or how well the Greens have campaigned on Gaza.

But it's great to see for me. A much more accepting generation. And the level of education on the climate for many people who didn't care before is amazing in my community.

It doesn't take the edge off the reform tsunami though.

Nah, it cuz they hate Christiuns innit.
Don't got no gays, muslamics or Jews in bible. They just want to eradicate the Judeo Christian Anglo Saxons indigenius in Englund

I think there’s also something to be said for, even when it’s a politician, strolling up and whacking a camera in their face is still uncomfortable for people - a lot of them probably aren’t answering because they want to know in what way the clip is going to be used. Though, if they’re truly campaigning they should be able to answer questions if asked in good faith.

As for languages, you need to be able to communicate with the people you are serving, if 95% of your local parish speak something other than English, it’s useful to speak that language. I do think they should also have basic English skills too, but this is being cut and framed in a way that avoids context. I’d be curious to know if that Green Party statement was filmed in several different languages.

The first bloke is the exact sort of prized prat I hate, goes up chucks a camera in someone’s face and asks what the policies are.. they mention parking, “can you drive?” Who cares, the point of politics is they’re looking to improve parking for YOU as well. Same with council tax, they mention freezing it, and it’s “do you pay it? If not why aren’t you freezing mine?” They are, but you didn’t want to listen, you wanted to make your 7 followers touch themselves at you bullying some non white folk.

Nigel Farage doesn’t go to school, but I’d like to think he would have an education policy - we’re clearly crying out for a few more based on some of these people.

Isn’t it problematic in the first place if 95% of a parish first language is not English? When as a nation it would be the opposite. What you want is immigrants assimilating across the entire country not a select few communities.

Looks to be like your dehumanising the poor…
How have you extrapolated wealth level from that?

Dehumanising lack of critical thinking ability - yes. And I have to admit to being surprised by quite how many votes Reform has got - I thought there was enough debunking of the Reform myth to have changed that.

I'm hoping for a very diverse hung parliament next election and a push through of propositional represention; the core arguments of Labour Vs Tory no longer exists - where the issues have increased nuance, so must the voting system.

Intelect and health can often be indicators of someone’s financial position. But my post was very clearly poking fun at Marty.

95% was a figure I pulled off the top of my head, I was talking reform and economics and clearly feel into the same trap they do when planning their policies.

You know what I mean though, my point is if a large amount of people in that area speak a different language it’s good to be able to do the same. You’re right, ideally they would be across different communities, but that isn’t the world we currently live in, and there’s wider changes needed. I’m just not going to get annoyed if someone announces something in a language other than English if a large number of their constituents speak a different language.

But an immigrant’s first language is their first language. It is not going to change, regardless of how assimilated they are. That their first language is not English does not mean they do not speak English. And those that don’t will tend to be older, so it will be a declining stat anyway. What we will have is more bi-lingual people, which is no bad thing.
Ideally yes you would have communities that are very diverse in ethnicity but it’s generally white people who move out of areas when the non-white population begins to grow.

When I was at university I did a year abroad studying in Paris. There was a group of 6 from our uni, and whilst we would speak French in shops, restaurants or in conversation with a landlord or a random stranger, whenever we were together we always spoke English. It’s just a natural thing to do. I wonder if locals thought we should be speaking French amongst ourselves. For some reason people here seem scared or outraged when they hear someone speaking in a different language.
Personally I don’t care what language someone speaks, just do it quietly and don’t disturb my peace!
