***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v Aston Villa, Sun May 3rd, 7pm, Villa Park ***

Another very important aspect of yesterday's game, for me, was that we often looked like we had an extra player compared to Villa. Of course, they were probably more interested in their upcoming game with Forest while we were fighting for our lives, but we often had two or three players pressing for the ball and when they won the ball back, they had options around them to get out of the opposition's press. It's a major improvement in terms of mobility from Frank's team.

Either that or the yellow shirts made us more visible.

Fantastic performance. We went out and won the game rather than waiting for the other team to do something. That was the intensity and press that I wanted to see against Sunderland. Feeling very confident now.

I've never been a believer in the let's keep it tight and steady at start of games, you've got to put your opponents on the back foot and set the tempo. You can't flip a switch and the whole team change gear, players have got into to low intensity style and it difficult to do.

One of the best things if we survive beyond the obvious for us as a club is to sticking it up all those who have been absolutely bursting to see us relegated. Most fans of other PL clubs want it, even Championship fans singing about playing spurs next season and of course the media wetting themselves at the prospect.

Would be great to be able to tell them all to get back in their box :)....

Think the last couple of weeks has shown that the opinions of some pundits are worth no more than fans’ opinions.

West Ham win a game so we’re definitely down. Now they lose one and we win and we’re staying up.

How many times did you hear “these Spurs players just aren’t good enough” over the last few months. A load of brick. “The manager can only do so much”. Yeah maybe but he can do a hell of a lot more than Frank or Tudor.

Carragher a few weeks ago “are you telling me Spurs can go to Wolves and win? No chance”. Same fella who said there was “no chance Spurs can beat United in a final.”

Some pundits are swayed as much by emotion and what way the wind is blowing as the rest of us.

We now live in a world where a fan's perspective is way more accurate and informed than any of these so called pundits. Fans on this site no way more about their club than any of those clowns we watch on Sky.

Football punditry has been dumbed down over the years (or maybe it was always like this?) Seems it's more about banter these days with the ex-pros wanting to appear like one of the lads rather
than an intelligent voice.

We're not there yet, but I have to confess that when Richarlison scored, I thought a big F-U to the pundits and to the fans of other PL clubs... then I had to add a big F-U to myself for even considering relegation was a foregone conclusion at some point.
