Rodrigo Bentancur

The entire time under Conte? (admittedly pre injury)

Pre-injury Bentancur was an elite level player, he made that brick 2 man midfield work, today was the closest I've seen in a while to that player
He had a good game and fair play to him. Just would like the consistency and more influence. Playing with Pauli and Gallagher we looked very strong … but that’s again just us getting one game done. Play like that consistently and I’m all for it.

Thankfully just tiredness, according to the gaffer.

Hopefully that's actually true.

As Gazza Dazzla pointed out, different instructions and a different way of playing is doing him really good I think. And right now he's looking important.

Think he’s been tremendous since he’s returned especially given the horrendous time he’s had with injuries. He’s not spectacular but he just knows where to be, he knows when to take the sting out of things and he can be a bit of a brickhouse at times when needed. He’s been absolutely integral to this little run over the last few games.

Absolutely, considering how long he was out injured and the situation he came back to
Elite performances

Don’t rate him as much as some here , but has played his part in the recent revival. I would love for him to be here next season and dominate games as his ability is not in question, just his consistency for me. Hopefully RDZ can get the most out of him.

When Robert Downey Zerbi dropped Gray I was really surprised, as he had been the shining light in an otherwise abject run of 15 games - but have to say he has benefited from the return of Bentancur, who to his credit has come back looking like he's not been away - no mean feat after the time he had out.

We may see a bit of madders next, and GHod knows that could be crucial in the next three games.
