It's being said they thought he might have been wearing an explosive vest. In which case violently kicking someone not just in the head but to the body as well seems to my untrained eye just a tad dangerous if he were indeed wearing such a vest.Guy had a knife he refused to drop. They aren't going overboard. They have a tazer, batons and spray against a knife and maybe more on his person its a really dangerous situation for them so they need to get him properly incapacitated

I totally appreciate the high pressure situation they were in and the need to prevent any further harm to life, and by all accounts they were acting in accordance with their training, but to my (again, untrained) eye, the policeman doing most of the kicking looked totally out of control.

This is the thing about people like him and Corbyn. More focused on the rights and safety of terrorists and other dangerous nutjobs than on the people they are tryimg to hurt.
Nobody has been able to explain to me how wealthy people have increased racism. Which was the initial implication. You don't read my replies do you...
But this is the thing. Untrained, never been in such a situation. No idea if what they are doing is protocol or not - yet shares the criticism on a public platform anyway. How dare you act so aggressively towards a nutjob stabbing people. Defund the police. It's being said they thought he might have been wearing an explosive vest. He wasn't unconscious. He was refusing to release the knife so the protocol is essentially to force compliance by any means necessary at that stage. British transport police officer confronting knife attackers in terror attacks in London a few years ago smashed one of them in the head with his baton and stated he was attempting to knock him out. I suppose that officer should be hauled over the coals as well for breaching his human rights.Human rights. It was refreshing to hear someone stand up for them for once, the way they've been being stripped away the past few decades. No one should be able to keep volleying an unconscious person in the head and get away with it. It was done with anger, their training was out the window. Courts give out justice, not roided-up coppers
We've all lived through Hillsborough, Orgreave, Battle of the Beanfield. There's always an element of the police that actively relish using excessive violence, and that absolutely needs to be kept in check. It's part of the reason they are now forced to wear body cameras - to protect the public from their propensity towards violence. But this is the thing. Untrained, never been in such a situation. He'd been tasered. That was sufficient non-lethal violence. You don't then try adding a bit or potentially-lethal (or brain damaging) violence, just for kicks. He wasn't unconscious. Yes, if I only I were blessed with having had the wide experience of practically every job going that you do, then I would not need to caveat my comments by being clear that I am speaking without that experience or that the police were seemingly acting within the bounds of their training. But this is the thing. However if I see a member of the police force repeatedly kicking someone in the head, for whatever reason, and seemingly out of control, then it is worthy of comment. I mean it's not as if the police aren't known for dishing it out.

I believe he was one of the local private security.I think everything should be looked at, BUT there is a time and a place.
What I want to know is, who was the dude in the green outfit, was he just a member of the public getting involved?
You don't read my replies do you...
It's K shaped. But what problems have they actually caused? Name one.
You fool Steff.
I was going to reply to Silly yesterday....but couldn't be bothered.
You took the bait, spent a good part of an hour constructing your replies...and this is the level of discourse you receive back.
