Antonin Kinsky

he is good at shot stopping - maybe short of top level because the role of a keeper requires other skills such as commanding the defence and box, sweeping and distributing the ball astutely, and being strong physically to challenge for the ball aerially.

Vic is much better at shot stopping
I don’t think there is better keeper in the league at that
But it’s the bigger picture even over a small run of games left that matters
Kinky has not been an issue in any of the ones since he came back in and has done everything we could ask for

donarumma and raya I've watched. lots of talking and strong presence in the box even defending set pieces

i'm sure there are more like pickford and pope etc. who i don't watch often
Both are very flappy in the box
Arsenal rely on their defenders a lot because reya does make mistakes
Well worth looking at teh goals dinnarunna concedes from corners too

He’s basically the English Lloris.

Same strengths, same weaknesses.

I agree with the above that he has been exceptional for England, even more so considering the level of defender he’s mostly had around him.

Not really. Lloris way more athletic and Pickford better with his passing.

Lloris was a sweeper keeper when we first bought him. I think the problem is when you spend 12 years at a club fans tend to remember those last few years when you no longer hit the heights. When he first joined and for most of his time at Spurs he was simply incredible. The best leader and communicator you could have behind you as a defender. The leader in the dressing room. The one that every player looked up to because of his performance levels and personality.

Personally, I'll always be a Hugo fan. Great autobiography as well.

I do like Pickford though. That guy has character and guts aplenty along with some great goalkeeping skills. 82 caps for England at 32 years old. He steadied the ship after we had quite a few calamitous GKs in goal for our country. Not at Hugo's prime level, but we could have done a lot worse than having him in goal for us in these last 3 or 4 years.

Agreed.

I have a soft spot for Pickford because he is probably the keeper that my own game is closest to. But prime for prime Lloris is the better player. Don’t agree they are similar players at all though.

I also think what’s under rated about Lloris, at least by Spurs fans is his leadership and that’s purely from the idea that Keepers cannot be captains plus he’s a soft spoken Frenchman in interviews.
