Not that Cherki would’ve ever contemplated signing for us once the likes of €iteh came a sniffing but does go to show that there are decent attackers available for less than what we paid for Gallagher and also on lower weekly wage to boot… what a nice bit of competition he’d have provided for Maddison, Simons and Kuliusevski…

I was totally against his signing from day one. Hopefully, when we go down he will want to move on to pastures new.
I said the same. All the club needed to do was watch a recording of his last two England games to see how bad he was. I’ve never seen such poor use of the ball by a top level player.
Which tells me they aren’t doing any work at all in watching any actual footage or scouting a player. They’re simply receiving phone calls that a player is available - recognising the name, and going with it. Absolute laughing stock.
These are the people we have to hope have a plan to build a Championship promotion-ready squad next season
