Early in the season when Kudus was getting pelters it made no sense to me.

He was obviously are most technical and attacking player. Regardless of end product his ability to progress that ball was something no other player can do. He also holds it better then our two specialist forwards.

He got injured and our form spiralled.

We have a brick defense. We've conceded 660+ goals for the last 3 years, at this point we have to accept we just don't have good defenders and truly, we don't. Just look at what we put out on the pitch. Take the Spurs glasses off, would you want any of them if you saw them playing for someone else?

Beating Athletico didn't mean brick as they knew they just had to bot lose by 3. The confidence emanating after that result was ridiculous. It's like we aren't actually watching yourselves play over the last 2 years.

It never ceases to amaze me how that consolation cup has glossed over the fact that we’ve been the 2nd worst team in PL for the past 24 months! Yes it was great to break our trophy hoodoo but (like the last 2 League Cups) it has utterly failed to instil that “winning mentality” which some seemed to believe it would and those nepo-babies’ new directors ruined any feel good factor by sacking our gaffer and replacing him with someone who hasn’t won a sodding thing plus has no experience of managing a club playing in UEFA competition. And now when we’re fighting for PL survival we install a coach who’s never worked in England before

He was also a victim of how weak we were on the left. Teams just doubled up over that side and were happy to let the ball come back over to our left.

At least with Tel he occupied 1 and sometimes 2 defenders. That wound benefit Kudus.

Because European teams are fudging brick and give you time and space on the ball you don't get in the PL. AM played 44-fudging-2 away from home ffs - of course Xavi is gonna look like he has a left & right foot in those circumstances

No it was more lump it in the mixer and get the 2nd ball type stuff, had a few half chances on the edge of the box though. But we were marginally the better side, which all the stats support (apart from the score). Just didn’t make sense those subs to change it to me and we were quite obviously worse in the 2nd half.

That’s something, at least. I only saw the last ten minutes and that was horrific.

Imho Tudor got it badly wrong today, from the starting line up to the subs. I could understand not starting Simons against their midfield but the half time subs made no sense to me whatsoever. The worst thing that could happen if we go down would be losing Gray. I think there would be lots of clubs interested in signing him. The rest of them can fudge right off with the exception of a couple of them. I also think this current set of players would find it hard to come straight back up from the Championship if we go down
