Semi final 5pm today v Salah and co
I'm not convinced it's that simple. He was really good for a period of games under Frank, then out of nowhere out of the team and not really been given a real opportunity since - If he had continued to play for a few more games and became poor I would have understood, but that wasn't the case.I think the bigger story about Sarr not playing in AFCON (again) is perhaps more about the player's ability. In some ways I'm disappointed that he hasn't broken into their team and become a mainstay. After all, he represents Spurs as an international. He is being kept out by a 36 year old Idrissa Gueye, Habib Diarra (Sunderland) and Papa Gueye (Villareal). These guys are no massive superstars playing for elite clubs.
It plays into the same narrative that we have at Spurs why he is peripheral, not core in our team.

We don't always know what's going on behind closed doors, and could well be more too it than he's not good enough to be playing....
I was at the Villarreal game and he went down on his haunches holding his groin before being subbed off. He’s not had a sniff sinceI'm not convinced it's that simple. Not sure whether to laugh or go "yuk" at that!I was at the Villarreal game and he went down on his haunches holding his groin before being subbed off. He’s not had a sniff since

A very underrated player. One who I would be starting. 1., He is a ball carrier, a very rare skill in our team, 2., he tackles well, 3, he pops up with goals, 4., he ;plays with real tempo and energy.
Sarr is much more dynamic than Gray and more versaltile to boot. To be honest, I dont get the raving about Gray, he isn't particularly good at anything. That's Sarr at his best, reality is he's inconsistent, made some pretty bad mistakes and isn't great technically, he's also 4 years older than Gray and Bergvall, and only 2 younger than Gallagher.
For him to be starting, who is he replacing? for the rest of the season, I'd expect Xavi & Gallagher start, with Paulhinha for harder games, Gray for games where we expect to be under less pressure.
Sarr will get sub appearances but (imo, and I like the kid), it was always likely to be 2 out of 3 between him, Gray and Bergvall, right now they seem to have a higher ceiling and Gallagher is simply a better player. He's not a bad player by any means and certainly had had great moments/games for us, but he hasn't pushed on. I think he's one if an offer came in, the club would move on.
I think Gray will become a FAR better player than Sarr will.Sarr is much more dynamic than Gray and more versaltile to boot. To be honest, I dont get the raving about Gray, he isn't particularly good at anything.

Different type of players. I think Gray will become our deep ballplaying holder, while Sarr, Bergvall and now Gallagher are all the engine rooms who you play one of next to him.Sarr is much more dynamic than Gray and more versaltile to boot. I think they are both very good players...Archie has the higher ceiling because of his football intelligence, so he will settle into and meticulously learn a role.I think Gray will become a FAR better player than Sarr will.
I think there is 100% a place in the squad for Sarr....whether that is enough for HIM, who knows.Different type of players. I think Gray will become our deep ballplaying holder, while Sarr, Bergvall and now Gallagher are all the engine rooms who you play one of next to time.
Sarr was also decent in the #10 spot earlier this season, which helps us (alongside Xavi) while Kulu and Maddison are returning
Positionally very good. Reads the game well. Two good feet. Good control. Can see and execute a pass. Versatile in that he has played a lot of positions already at the top level and not been found wanting in any of them.Out of interest, what have you seen that makes you think this?
