And our high is not that high
IMV errors tend to increase when a new manager comes in - during that period there's a lot of new information for players to take on board which causes distraction, eg tactics not yet ingrained, so on the pitch they are focusing more on that than they would otherwise. Over time what should happen is that tactical instructions get pushed to the subconscious freeing the players mind up. If that doesn't happen and repeated errors occur over a couple of seasons then you've likely got a group of players that aren't comfortable in the setup they are asked to play in.

Indeed there is meant to be three stages of something becoming ingrained
1. It's new and you take to it immediately, little thought it involved.
2. You start actually thinking about it, which causes you to go backwards in execution
3. It becomes ingrained and automated and returns to and ultimately surpases 1.

There's a difference between errors been made and there being a lack of a style of play altogether. It's not a case of attacking patterns of play being created and they break down at points due to an error. There is zero imagination with the football beyond throwing the ball into the box, which is by design.
If football was being attempted but it broke down at times due to errors then obviously allowances would be made. But we look a mess at both ends of the pitch and despite yesterday it's not all down to individual errors....

I think it is a massive leap of faith by some to think that Harry was a winner just because he has world class technical abilities and a world class football brain. You obviously need that different ingredient that comes with true winners. Perhaps Harry did have some early career, but there were so many clues that he didn't over the many years for club and country as the years went by.
I do sort of endorse that there might be a top down culture at the club that makes it more acceptable at Spurs though. Does that perhaps come because the owners business model has always been to invest and grow the asset rather than an obsessed billionaire that uses the club to cleanse their ego with trophies.

I wouldn't class H as a winner personally. I think that is what stops him from the having taking that next step.
I'm talking about that player that wins you a game through sheer force of will, that accepts nothing apart from the best. You ever hear Kobe speaking and that's what I'm talking about Mamba mentality.

i think you also need to have some stability in squad with regards to minimal injuries.

But that’s the point I made earlier. We were very different last week at home. Our passing was sharper and movement better. Closer I would imagine to how TF wants his team to play. Something is trying to emerge, but we are very inconsistent and the players’ confidence really fragile. I wonder if Gray hadn’t made that mistake whether we might have got something out of the game even.

From yesterday's post-match presser. Make of it what you will. I know my thoughts. To see that he essentially gave up the match after the second goal is somewhat scandalous.
"Then the 2-0 goal killed the game off. Basically, we were not in the game after that, in my opinion. That's part of keeping the structure, keep the game plan, keep going, keep doing the right things. So, that's definitely not the first time we've seen that, this year, last year, whenever. That's something that's ongoing work in progress before we're more consistent in that. It doesn't help that we made two mistakes with the first two goals but, again, that can happen in football. So, we just need to keep doing the right things. so everything looks the right way. Then on top of that, we decide to throw the ball away at least 25 times. So, we can't hit each other 25 times...."

Brentford at home are a different team to Forest, especially a Dyche Forest, away. We were coming off two victories against obliging sides, the mood was good, and you'd have thought the table was set to go forwards, at least performance-wise. I just do not think he has any cohesive attacking strategy beyond his favoured fast transitions play from the flanks and crosses methodology, and when we come across an obdurate object like Forest, we simply don't know how to pick our way through and around.
