The Goon Thread

Stopped off for a drink locally on the way home earlier and a friend of ours was in the bar with a Gooner acquaintance whom I hadn’t met before. I did admittedly set the tone when I asked him when he reckoned they would bottle it this season but he was SO adamant they are going to do the quadruple that it just reminded me how deluded and arrogant they are. And also how I will either enjoy the end of the season or have to go into hiding.

After two seasons of throwing it away including one massive bottle
I've never known a team get such an easy ride for the above from the media as what they have got
Arteta has won 1 FA Cup in the last 6/7 seasons whilst spending £1.1bn

I work with a few Arsenal fans and they have come out with some corkers this season. One of them said he’d rather have Jesus than Haaland and Rice over Rodri. Most deluded fans in the league by a mile. People say Liverpool fans are and they would be in the top 5, but at least they’ve won everything. Arsenal have so much front for a club that has been rubbish in Europe for most of their existence.
 
One thing I don’t understand about them, whenever they win a game in the league or the CL their odds to win competitions shrink exponentially, but whenever they drop points it doesn’t affect their odds at all. Eventually the odds will be so short that the bookies will charge you rather than give you money if you bet on them.
 
Hopefully it’ll prove to be 18th time lucky again in 2028!

‘Ollie’ would send three of ours off and leave the goons on if it was the PL.
