Politics, politics, politics (so long and thanks for all the fish)

No one does any job in politics alone though at any level and there are people who have worse track records than him (he was decent in his health role dealing with swine flu too) whereas Boris was making mistakes that impacted relations with Iran. So if we are not looking for people who have done good jobs then where are we looking?

Don't get me wrong the difference between Burnham and Boris is night and day, I would have more trust in Burnham than I ever had in Boris.
If ever there was a man promoted above his abilities it was Boris. It's pretty frightening that not only did so few people see that, but no other party could put up a better candidate
If Burnham had a solid cabinet that could guide him and maybe take a more balanced approach then I could see a decent government forming.
However I don't think between all the parties a good cabinet could be formed, Nevermind one from a single party.
The depth of the talent in politics is puddle deep.

Thats cool and I get that

But if you talk about track records of doing good things and that being a shop window for bigger jobs, then he is high up the list. He is certainly better than what we have across all parties IMO, although thats a low bar admittedly.
Until all parties come together and admit to the electorate that the UK is sleepwalking its way to bankruptcy we’ll continue to get leaders who put getting elected ahead of the country’s future.

The public do not want to hear it though.
It really should be obvious to anyone with even the merest hint of the real world.
