So reeves increasing the tax on ev usage.
Bit of mixed messaging. Pay to save the environment. Then pay for trying to save the environment.
Not sure how it's enforceable. I bought a £10 return car ferry trip to France in the summer. Whilst out there I'll be driving 10,000 of the 11,000 miles I'll do next year. All on French roads using French electricity. Fairly sure the exchequer doesn't have the ability to charge tax on that.So reeves increasing the tax on ev usage.

There's no need for anyone to try and outflank the Greens until they change their leader. His time as a hypnotherapist will stop anyone even vaguely serious from listening to him.Labour should outflank the Greens by being even greener, in much the same way they are trying to outflank Reform by being even nastier to assylum seekers and immigrants.
She's awful at pretty much everything (including turning up to work, apparently). But she's no danger to Starmer so she'll stay in post.Imagine seeing Greens numbers rising and deciding to go for a tax on EVs. Reeves is genuinely terrible at PR.
And I'd add she isn't a good economist in my view. I don't think she even gets it.
Thank you for being my south star. I do like Polanski. There's no need for anyone to try and outflank the Greens until they change their leader. His time as a hypnotherapist will stop anyone even vaguely serious from listening to him.
Seriously? What's your favourite bit about him? His history of hypnotherapy or his belief that Putin will destroy all his nukes if he asks nicely?Thank you for being my south star. I do like Polanski.
I can just see their election slogan, we'll be green by burning browns".Labour should outflank the Greens by being even greener, in much the same way they are trying to outflank Reform by being even nastier to assylum seekers and immigrants.
I'm a fan of his Boris-like honesty, his Truss-like attention to detail, his Sunac-like connection with the common man and his Bedenock-like empathy. Or did you mean which physical bit? I haven't really given much thought to that. Um...his shoulders.Seriously? What's your favourite bit about him? I'm hoping the Conservatives will begin to resemble a political party at some point over the next 4 years. Reform increasing in popularity should force them to get their act together in some way. Probably (like Labour) need to change some of their rules for electing party leaders before we'll ever get anyone half-decent though.I'm a fan of his Boris-like honesty, his Truss-like attention to detail, his Sunac-like connection with the common man and his Bedenock-like empathy. I would have thought a remain voting EV driver like yourself who is looking for a new political party would be on the green (ev) bandwagon. Or are you going with the racists?
So that rules out Farage.I'm hoping the Conservatives will begin to resemble a political party at some point over the next 4 years. Failing that, I genuinely don't know who will get my vote. Certainly not a charlatan who spent parts of his career ripping off the mentally vulnerable though.
And I'm only an EV driver some of the time. My cars average out at a 3l V6, so I'm probably just about still on the petrolhead side of the scale.
He might be quite a number of undesirable things, but he's at least had an honest career outside of politics. So that rules out Farage.
Well I reckon he could get you to support him. There's no need for anyone to try and outflank the Greens until they change their leader. His time as a hypnotherapist will stop anyone even vaguely serious from listening to him.
