It’s because he isn’t adapting
That’s what I’m not keen on
He is playing the same way nearly every game
We haven’t, for example, played 3 at the back yet
Not adapting by not playing the way your want him to...

Hmm, who did we start in that match that made you feel he was 'bending over to accommodate' Bodo? Also, do you not think our injury situation and their pitch meant he was wanting a result but also not more injuries?
Can you clarify what you are saying here?
That might be a fair point for some games, but then atm some of the others turn over possession to easily even though they might play forward passes quicker. It's certainly a risk/reward thing. But then it's not helped by the fact there is often poor movement by the forwards to give good passing options or poor retention by then when they do get the ball....Solanke or Kulu can't come back soon enough at least just to increas the chance of the ball sticking further forward

Maybe he’s doing that because he doesn’t think he has that creation centrally? The middle of the park involves Richy at the moment, it’s not like we’ve got Kane to link it all together.
At Brentford he went through Eriksen and Damsgaard as the creators so he does like those types of players.

He has hush brought a guy to play 10 and is sticking him left for example
He is playing a very basic 4-3-3 but with 2 DMs and no player who is a actually a 10
What he can play is a. 4-3-2-1 with a midfield that has a DM, a box to box and Xavi as a 10. Or even play 2 box to box guys
But use that huge space in the middle of the park
Our open play chance creation is really really bad
I think it’s less than half a goal a game

Id like to see Xavi in the 10 as well, I think he will soon, he’s just getting him up to speed in the league I reckon?
It's not a strawman argument - People say Frank's football has not been great, specific performances poor and all of a sudden posters are accused of having an over reaction or the flavour of the month phrase 'meltdown' as if posters want him gone. Everyone knows its early days and aren't being over critical of the manager, merely critiquing what is being played in front of our eyes.
He has had the same style of play his whole time in the PL that we have seen at his early days at Spurs, and most managers come in and implement their style from the start and go through that early period of pain. If an Ireola or someone similar had come here they wouldn't be going 'Lets focus on the defence first, then build from there', we would see his style of play from the beginning and it's fanciful to suggest it's just part of some longer term plan where we magically become more attacking under him.
That doesn't mean he can't or won't and like you say, with some more attacking ranks let's see what happens but I still think we have had enough players available to play better football if that's what was wanted by the manager. We all know it's early days so can't come to any real conclusions, they are merely observations and/or concerns at this stage....
Modric had a good period out on the left didn't he before going central, so an education for a few months out there will not do him any harm.....

At home I’d like to a more positive set up
Pick any defenders as there isn’t much drop off
Then have Paulina (joint top scorer I think) sitting
Then have Sarr, Bergvall or gray in front as an 8
And use xavi or Bergvall and maybe even Kudus or Odobert as a 10 with that box to box guy
If he is nervous then play 2 8s
you can then plan tel or Johnson left (guys who actually look like scoring) kudus right and Richy up top
That is a balanced side that attacks the opposition with variety
While it has been spoken about as a strength of his, to expect a lot of chopping and changing tactically early in to a new regime is a bit unrealistic, he is still learning what he has available to him and what his players offer after all - if similar performances & results followed an approach where setups change then I could easily imagine complaints regarding that being the problem and that he should play a more consistent game. Damned if you do, essentially.

Fair enough… Strawman argument being the one that if you criticize then you’re accused of being Frank out. I’ve not seen anyone being accused of meltdowns either that I can remember, but I’m not the forum police!
Focusing on the defense of a team that loved to concede goals last season doesn’t seem like a bad strategy. Concentrating on set pieces in both boxes is also a great idea for a team that seemed pretty poor at them under the old regime as well.
His style at Brentford evolved over time, nothing to suggest he won’t do the same here.
I have no issues with us being more defensive and focusing on that, I don't find it as a reason to excuse the poor football we have played going forwards at times.
But like I say, it's just a small concern at this stage and I hope you're right. The overall problem I have on this forum is that a player or the team can put in a good performance and people go to extremes about how positive it all is and no one bats an eye lid. Yet a poor performance and it's called out, and you get posters come on and suggest 'perspective'. It seems like it doesn't work both ways a lot of the time....

I think the way he has played has remained consistent in pattern
It’s why we’re not creating much at all in open play game to game
The one game he did play 4-1-2-3 we played well and created chances

Its a work in progress and along the way we are bound to have a few off days. I accept that we have not always looked good so far but you can see a structure being built. We have so many new YOUNG players who are still trying to get to grips with playing in the hardest Lge in the game.
New players [ some who have never played in the Prem] youngsters who are playing in a much faster game then they are used to and it will take some longer then others to adapt. According to a lot of our fans we were brick last season overall and it will not change overnight.
