Considering he has not even yet turned 18 I think it would be unreasonable to expect him to play 40+ games this season.

The good news is that Mikey hasn't done a Sessegnon (or Gray) and see his body put through a 50 game season at a tender age of 17. He seems to be on a very natural ramp up and it's probably the case that he needs to play more rather than less now. Hence the loan option.
Like you though, I'd still want that to be very controlled. He's got loads of time ahead of him in his career.
I do like the idea of Chris Davies or Ryan Mason taking him under their wings.
Actually I am surprised that this is not standard in our youngster loans... a rolling % discount on the fee based on the amount of games played....

I'm concerned that he might struggle for minutes there. A loan move to WBA under Mason might be better

A player with 19 EPL and EL games under his belt last season needs to be going to a much higher level than Scotland
He needs to be starting every week in a team that has a lot of the ball. It would be far better experience than sitting on the bench of a struggling championship side that wants 10 player behind the ball and hoofs it.

I think Scotland's a really good move TBH, I think being at a club like Rangers will expose him to pressures within their own right.

West Brom will be top 6, and we know they've got a progressive coach who'll love him.
Going to Scotland is no different to going to Dagenham and Redbridge and bullying all the National League South opponents.
Have west brom come in for him?

I do agree whatever we think of Rangers its a top club that sells out most games, he will be playing in a totally different game [pressure wise] which will/could be the making of him.

No. But it's 8 games. They just have to finish in the top 24 to get in the playoffs.

Why do our fans always say things like this? He should force his way into the team and if he doesn't then maybe he hasn't got what it takes to be playing at the highest level.
