Sick sick world what is wrong with people

I am not a protest type so good for you for attending climate marches. One day hopefully before it's not to late governments will realise we are running out of time.

As for bowing out no problem thanks for the info
Thank you. In saying that, I probably wouldn't protest in the UK if I was there. The UK is among the most heavy-handed countries in the world towards climate protests. The only way to wake most governments up is by protest, which is why cases like these set such a dangerous precedent. Whether one agrees with the point of the protest or not is neither here nor there, IMO.

I don’t think protests do much in this country.

Someone is protesting something every week.

I can’t think of a policy change that protests have caused.

This Masterchef fella getting sacked for singling along to a Kanye song is a stretch man. I'm one of the more "woke" posters as such on here. But eff me it's harsh. Don't like it.

Suffragettes is one that comes to mind.

Each protest moves the needle. However, the outcome should not determine one's right to protest. The right to peaceably protest and express dissenting views regarding government policies and political decisions is an essential ingredient of a functional demcracy. Sometimes it is the last bulwark.
