ENIC

Listen to the link I posted. They know a guy on the inside of the deal. They work as a VC and deal with CEOs a lot. They are in their 50s and work with Qataris all the time. Listen to it, it is worthwhile.
Was an interesting listen. Whether the details are correct can only be taken on faith BUT the conversation overall IS worth a listen, definitely some opinions that ring true.
I do have an issue with some points being presented solely in the negative, when those same points could have actually been a positive for the club.

I think though given what I see alot of online people use the opinion thats out there on our board then work backwards to create a story that people say "I believe that".

I have been told that alot of what was said is utter rubbish BTW

That fella is a regular on twitter as a Spurs fan, he is not an insider into things, yes he works in Qatar but is a client services manager.

There's no smoke without fire, and there's always been plenty of smoke around Levy's behaviour. The guy has got him well and truly pegged if you ask me.

I’m amazed a businessmen so well connected chooses to tell the world on a spurs fan podcast

Who knows if what was said I true, but it's certainly not a reach to suggest that Levy's asking price to sell is extortionate - plenty of investors have been interested yet baulked at what Levy wants. That of course is his right, and suggests he not in a rush to sell when setting such a large asking price. So pretty pointless wasting energy worrying about it (not suggesting you are) as something unlikely to happen in the near future.....

All the talk in some quarters that DMC was ousted from being a director and she was out of favour seem to be ill informed, at the recent FAB meeting she was shown in the minutes as Executive Director & Co-Chair, not sure though which part of the many companies that make up the club she is an Exec. Possibly be her last FAB meeting as Vinai intends to be at all future meetings.

She hasn't left yet. She said she'd stay a couple of months to handover.

She was always retiring
She wanted to a year or so ago but was talked out of it

Doesn’t change all the opinions people will have on a guy they have never met and never really seen any media about … other than social media spin and dribble

OK, right - why do YOU think they are legit?
I don’t FULLY think Habib is legit. He is a bit arrogant/ know-all/ amateur psychologist. But it was an interesting listen and raised some very believable scenarios such as Levy moving goalposts again and again as that is what he did to Aulas and Fergie.
Also, the prospect of Lewis selling their controlling stake at which point Levy may have to cave since he is a minority - the OhSoSpurs pod just released an interesting podcast wherein they mention the Glazers are the majority owners of MNU but installed Radcliffe as the minority ’face’ of MNU to take all the criticism on his chin which sounds familiar!

The most interesting thing of all is that these Qataris are given a budget they MUST spend each year to get soft power but not necessarily to make a huge ROI (as long as it is not a big loss) so it should be very easy to find an agreement.

So (even though Habib claims the Qataris would invest a lot to make N17 a nice place) it is a shame N17 is so far from Mayfair. Especially compared to all the other London clubs.

Worked at 1 Curzon street. The back of our builiding backed onto sheik mansours house. So we knew the staff. He'd be there maybe 3 times a year. Maybe his wives would come another couple.
You'd know when they were coming as they'd tell us. They had artic lorries delivering their luggage and security everywhere.
They won't be that fussed about the distance, probably be far more excited about the development prospects.

These stories just go on and on , headline below was from nearly two years ago , if Levy/ENIC/Lewis were really interested in selling up they would have done it by now and taken a profit on their initial investment or they have massively overvalued the club, the Glazers did and couldn't sell Manure so had to settle for selling a minority share to Ratcliffe.

Any deal has to work for all involved.

People can have any view they like, bias or otherwise, but much of it is without the real insight to whats involved, what the truth is and the idea of "just fcuking sell up and leave".......... just makes me laugh

The truth is always much much more complicated

And that is entirely his prerogative, nothing, absolutely nothing says ENIC has to sell at "a fair price" (to your point)

Chelsea set a huge outlier in evaluation, 4B+ for a fire sale on a club with sketchy ground ownership and in bad need of infrastructure rebuild means Spurs can/should ask more

£2.5bn. The £1.5bn of debt was wiped.
