We are this week in Northumberland currently in a place called Seahouses and visited Berwick yesterday.

Well it's just lovely, the people the landscape just perfect.

My mood was lifted today by the news coming out of Tottenham but one thing that took me back was the standard of the food. Really top notch, had one of the best steaks of my life in Durham on Wednesday.

Visiting Edinburgh over the weekend before driving back south. Always wary of the jocks but northerners have won me over.

Its an awesome part of the country. Bamburgh, Alnwick, Warkworth, Lindisfarne too. Some of the best beaches in the world, and all to yourself.

Edinburghers are strange folk and not proper jocks, you'll be hard pushed to find any Scots there anyway it's too expensive and full of incomers.
It's a lovely city and so much better than Glasgow, although it pains me to say it, the social life is also much better there than Glasgow now.

Sounds like you’re having a brilliant trip up north! Seahouses and Berwick are cracking spots, and I’m not surprised you’ve been impressed with the food – the northeast really punches above its weight there. Edinburgh will be a nice way to round things off before heading back south.
