Son Heung-Min

Son injured !

Then, having collected the trophy, he walked over to his teammates, and after lifting it above his head, in the celebrations his teammates behind him pushed him forwards slightly and the Europa League trophy jolted back and hit him on the head.

Son did not make a fuss, enjoying the celebrations too much, but in the aftermath a bump emerged on his forehead. The skipper proceeded to show all his teammates who were interested his freak injury, with his best friend in the squad seeing it and saying "Oh my GHod".

He's not the "marrying kind" he is a friend of Dorothy.

He is a Spurs legend, pretty much finished at the top level. Time for one last pay day in America or Saudi

What business of ours is his personal life? If your opinions are correct it doesn't preclude him from wanting or starting a family. This is what I dislike on here, a great achievement by the club has to be stained by negativity, he may not be the player he was but let's let him have some joy before throwing him in the bin.

Jeez....not sure how anyone can 'hate' Sonny. And yes, we are so so fond of you.

Apparently there's a sub set of Koreans that hate on him online - i think that's where he is aiming these quotes

There's a very big Korean football board on a particular site where a huge chunk of the userbase has been hating on him for staying at Spurs and winning nothing (till now) and they only respect players who went to the biggest clubs to win a bunch trophies, like Park Jisung/Kim Minjae/Lee Kangin. But the site is a very alt-right 4chan troll kind of place so people outside of the site don't take it seriously. And all the haters there get shut down whenever Son does something incredible.

There's also a definite generational divide on the KNT. My dad heard this from one of the NT coaches but some younger players apparently think Son's personality is insincere that he's too emotional and passive to be a captain (which has also been a common criticism among Spurs fans). There's a younger faction of guys like Hwang In-beom and Lee that rallies behind Kim while Son's generation is retiring from the NT.

I heard his speeches after the game. Son has my respect and my love for his humility and his desire to put the team first. Yes his body is no longer able to perform as well as before but I cannot doubt that this man wanted the best for us even ahead of himself. That is all I want from a player at Spurs. He is a legend in my book.

He's given everything, he gave us his career when "one of our own" decided personal outcome trumped the clubs (and that's a choice)

He's played almost a full fudging 90 mins with a broken arm for us, he's probably played countless games carry knocks, not fully fit, the system isn't helping him as his career is on the back-end .. and yet, he gave us whatever is left ..

Honestly fudge Spurs fans who want to have a dig at Son, we talk about loyalty, we got it, we got his best years, he could have gone anywhere, he didn't.
