AUDERE EST FACERE - NOW MORE THAN EVER

To be fair to GB, it was supposed to be a discussion. If you don't want to hear/read different opinions, maybe that should have been made clear. There's a lot to say about yesterday's game but now's not the time to go into the finer details, in my opinion. However, you can't bait people with 'discuss' and then tell to fudge off when they stand their ground.
Pick the right thread for it
This isn’t it
Picking the day after or churn out the same rhetoric isn’t it
Too much noise given to people behind a keyboard too often I guess

It sure feels different today, Steff.

There are big decisions to be made in the coming weeks, but last night (scrappy, ugly win that it was - which, for me, just made it better) has made me feel that something has shifted when it comes to our belief as a fanbase. We’ve seen we can get it over the line in a massive game. I think - I hope - that changes everything.

Perhaps our luck has finally changed.

Pre-match I asked of a few things, that we played to the best of our abilities, arguably I would not say we were great BUT they did what was required, so that will do (Tick)

I asked for a fair rub of the decisions, undoubtably that did not happen ( thumbs down)

But just as important, I asked if somebody 'up there' could look kindly on us for once. I think there were a few times we rode our luck for sure, but the one moment that I thought was different from the norm....the 96th minute, Casimiro goes down in the box, my heart sank, how many times in
the past have we had heartbreak at the death or an unjustified pen awarded to United???

Finally it didnt happen to us, even at the last corner I think if that ball is left for Garnacho he probably blasts it home, but forget who, nips in and tries the harder bicycle kick. Our name was on it after all, and it feels great

For me, it's too early to think about what comes next. Only thing I could say at this point is that the ball is firmly in the board's court now. If last night is to mean anything in the long run, then we have to be competitive in the league and in the Champions League next season.

Regardless of what happens with the manager situation, that means - for me - that some massive investments are required. Are they prepared to do that? Time will tell.

Regardless of our outlook, we have been suffering a lot of injuries over the past two years. That won't change because we won the Europa League. Are they prepared to look into that and, more importantly, what are they going to do about it?

For me, those are the most immediate questions that sping to mind but, quite frankly, I don't really care about any of that at the moment. The season ends on Sunday and I intend to suck in the bliss for as long as I can (although I'm not sure bliss is something you can suck in)!

I understand where he is coming from, but read the fudging room and at least be diplomatic about it ffs.
He's as subtle (and welcome) as a liz truss budget.

I just don’t get it
Nor right now
There will be a lot of time with no football being packaged very very soon

We've got to move quick. We've just had our worst league season in 115 years. We've got players to release, contracts to extend, players to buy. We need someone competent at the rudder asap - really in the next 2-3 weeks. We also don't want the rest of Europe's sloppy seconds, once the best candidates have been snapped up.

You are normally a good poster but you become very odd when you decide you don’t like a manager.

You kind of drop in how much you hate them in every post until they eventually leave.

And churn out the same diatribe
almost as if an armchair fan really does know best
And i say that as someone who has been saying today on our travel back from Bilbao that he can’t stay because of his league form.

But our best cup season in 41 years….

Being completely useless for 21 months is not something you ever recover from.

Liz Truss is the only comparable level of charlatanism ive ever seen, and she only got away with it for 49 days
So in two seasons we had a 5th place finish and a European trophy and that was as you say inspite of the manager not because of him.

Queue Brighton putting 5 past is Sunday.
Romero red card after 5 mins - he walks off, grabs the trophy, and smacks Solly March.
Vicario catches the ball into his own net.
Johnson trips over the ball and is out for a year.
Porro is still hungover and pukes on the sidelines.
Udogie mibricks a clearance plum into Ange's face.
Glenn Hoddle brings his spiritual advisor along....

Have I been wrong though? Does anyone think any of Mourinho, Nuno, Conte or Ange were good appointments? Or that any of them have done anything other than cause us to regress? A handful of Paratici signings have been the only competent managerial actions of the past 5 years. Everything else has been decline.
