After thinking about it and looking at the team, I think he could be right. He did pick Gomes over Vicario though which I think is a bit too much.

But everyone else you could give an argument to keep in.

Out surgery drop don’t
How many times you see short passes or players even kicking the ball out of play
Quite scary
I wonder if they have been coached to death

I want to be clear though. Our goal wasn't correctly disallowed from PGMOL's perspective.

The laws of the game are not the important piece. The process that is in place by FIFA needs to look at whether Pawson made a "clear and obvious" error in the lead up to the goal. He actually did. He could have easily been forgiven for missing that foul by Sarr but it was a foul. Now if so called professional PGMOL employees are taking that long then it's not clear and obvious to them. That was Ange's point. I'm not sure why because it took me about 2 seconds to see the foul.

Personally, I am happy that these items are getting this much attention and want every manager, player and pundit to keep piling the pressure on the massive discrepancy between the actual LAWS vs this "clear and obvious" nonsense. PGMOL should feel pressure every day of their lives until they start performing at the right level. FIFA (IFAB) need to change the clear and obvious nonsense and just apply the laws of the game.

The guy that should be taking the main part of this heat should be Howard Webb, not Ange. There is simply nowhere for Webb and his bunch of incompetent officials to hide at this point. How many more seasons in the PL are that PGMOL team going to ruin? How much longer should we put up with it?

As for whether Ange picked the right moment. I think every football stakeholder should take every moment to push back on PGMOL until they put in corrective actions. Then we can give them some slack.

Lets be realistic here, our team isn’t as good as people say but they are definitely better than 15 other teams in this league.

Since results have been poor it's always been something/someone else's fault and people "not being able to see what he's doing here".
Injuries, pundits, VAR etc. But never his tactics or his management.

When things were going well, he took credit for it being his tactics and his management.

You can have it both and stick to a "it's just how we play mate" mentality.

It's a victim mentality and he lacks ownership.

Yeh but that 12 minutes should have been 2 as we weren't even close to scoring. It was just 12 more minutes of taking the tinkle out of Spurs. We are a laughing stock and rightly so, Ange has brought this on himself with his stupid tactics and boring football. The less minutes we can have in a game the better IMO.

I can't remember if it were here but I said that that Yates from Nottingham forest would do ok in our team. He's a horrible player but is better than any of or current midfielders and exactly what we need.

Even Hjoberg, we were too good for him when he was here, but as soon as he left he is now exactly what we need.

Our first team is actually pretty average apart from the likes of Bergvall who clearly has talent. But we don't have one world class player in our side.

Now defining world class always causes arguments and discussion, but we certainly don't have anyone that the top 4 would want to nick and stick straight into their first team IMO

No it's not 'definitely', that is very much up for debate. People outside of here wouldn't say so. Who are all our players clubs would be desperate to have? I'd say Kulu and beyond that I'm really struggling. We have plenty of young players with potential to be really good. But tell me all those players who you can put your hat on to put on a performance? Here is arguably our strongest team:

Vicario - really good shot stopper but not reliable at other elements
Porro - great technique, defensively not good
VDV - Defensively suspect but of course has pace
Romero - Best defender which says it all as you have no idea what type of performance he will put in
Spence - Has been great
Bents - Just not the same player anymore
Kulu - Can rely on him
Bergvall - potentially really good
Son - Please put him out of his misery
Solanke - Like his all round game and works hard
Odobert - potential

And this is our strongest team FFS, it's pretty average. Of course we shouldn't be as low as we are but it is not definitely top 5, especially when you consider decent sides who don't have European football to contend with and that is definitely a factor.....

Its alot better than where we are sat though, where that is, well thats up for debate, but IMO Ange has managed this squad horrifically

Football is a team sport, if the team isn't set up correctly the individuals will look poor, barring the odd exception - every game we play there is evidence that the setup is not working and that is not fair grounds to judge a player on.

I still think it's mostly the system or the coaching. We're incapable of defending and that's on the system and a manager who doesn't care about midfielders having defensive responsibilities.
