You're experiences as a man of Asian descent are not the same as though of an African/Carribbean experience. We both have our trials but they are not necessarily the same and you shouldn't be trying to negate the experience of others especially those whose shoes you have not walked in.
As a white English man, I am sure if I went to live in most countries around the world I would get some sort of flack. Human beings are tribal creatures, and whilst in many countries we have come a long way, it doesn't detract from the fact most of us feel most comfortable with people who share our culture. The vast majority of people in this country don't care about colour, but we resent other cultures attempting to take over, and I think it's fair to say that identity politics creates resentment. Meanwhile, can we not remember what our mothers taught us when we were younger, sticks and stones..........................................

So it's OK if we lose week in and week out as long as we play pretty football. Ange is the perfect manager for you then

No it's not ok, nobody likes losing, I like to see attacking football which we've tried to do most of the time I've supported the club. I want our priority to win games not avoid defeat. What is "doing well"

I’d agree to a point. It’s not all about “winning” or “trophies” to me. If it was, I’d support City. There is more to football. But being bottom half with Spurs is an underachievement that is close to inexcusable for me.

The problem I find in Ireland, not sure if the UK is the same, is that you have a section of society who think that “they” are taking over just by being here and living by the values that they hold dear when, in my experience, that’s not really the case. Tolerance for me isn’t “allowing someone to come into Ireland but they must see the world like I do”. As long as they are law abiding, hard working and respectful I couldn’t give a brick what they do or believe in.

Add to that Liverpool p[laying a behind closed doors friendly due to there being nesrly 3 weeks between the final game of the season and the final. Yes. It was scorching. One of the things that early bad pen did was give Liverpool the chance to 'sit off' a bit and allow us to burn ourselves through in that heat...

...I've watched that entire match back four times since I was there. I am more convinced than ever that had Poch left Dele on, taken off Trippier instead, and allowed the Llorente/Dele/Moura + Kane element to have 15 mins, we'd have scored. Easy to say now of course LOL (#stillnotoverit)
I’ve never seen it back
Don’t intend too
The game was killed after a minute but a ref mistake and it played into their hands as you say

Doing well is winning, it's as simple as that. I would rather we play defensive football and win, than attacking football and lose (Angeball). Of course, the best sides play balanced pragmatic football, but unfortunately our manager has absolutely no idea what that means

I see our ex pats living in Benidorm, eating there fry ups and fish and chips, not bothering to learn Spanish, and living within their own communities, and it sickens me. Can you see where I'm coming from?

I was also there, and just about sober enough to remember the game. The early penalty, which I believe wasn't a penalty killed things off. From that point onward I'm not sure anything we had of done would have got us a win. Great few days with the lads though

Not just this manager, have to go back to Ramos, Graham and Venables for winners all the others in that 35 years were losers.

The learning Spanish is a problem if they always expect the Spanish to speak English. The rest, not so much in my opinion.

If he hadn't started and we lost, people would be saying he should have started.

It's spilt milk.
Even if this is true which it isn't (I've never ever heard fans complain about a manager not starting an injured player?!) managers make unpopular decisions all the time - that's why they are paid the big bucks. I've been at the ground various times over the years where a sub has been made and the fans boo, low and behold said sub scores or makes a contribution for a goal.

Kane wasn't even 50-50, he barely moved in that final. Which meant in training leading up to that game he was doing even less, so there was absolutely nothing to suggest he was in good enough shape to play. Even when Kane is just tired he is almost an immobile lump as we've seen with England, and he wasn't even in good enough condition for that. Poch the genius manager he apparently is, should have had the balls not to play him as it was clear after five minutes he wasn't ready for this game end of....

I didn't even remember if Kane started or not. I've never seen the highlights from the final, not sure I'm ready yet even now. Most painful night I've ever experienced watching Spurs.

If your top scorer and talisman can play in a huge final, of course you play him. Can you imagine if he didn't?

Yes, I can imagine a scenario in which Moura starts and we win

It was a penalty by the laws of the game at the time.

Which they quickly changed.

The football under Ange is horrible to watch. Just chucking everyone forward doesn't make it attacking football, it just means the team is unbalanced and vulnerable.
Totally agree, unfortunately the manager doesn't understand the complexities of the game, and sees it as one dimensional. When you manage the only real team in Scotland you can get away with it, when you are playing in a league with the big boys it's a different. Regardless of injuries nobody can convince me we wouldn't have done a lot better this season with a good manager

Thats nice that you have the privilege of feeling that words are just words. Unfortunately, that isn't everybody's experience. Sometimes those words are backed up my actions. You may be unaware of believe we live in a post racial society but that's nonsense.

Nobody should be intentionally abusive towards another person regardless of colour or race. That also means a white person to a white person. For example, I don't believe it is any worse calling a fat person a fat c... than calling a black person a black c..., they are both abusive and unnecessary. That doesn't mean anyone should tread on egg shells either, and should have the right to like or dislike anyone they wish for what ever reason they wish. That's the difference between racism and racialism
