*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Emirates Marketing Project ***

I did mean to put grey, but I went spence, Bergvall and started typing djed instead of grey, realised that wasn't right, scrubbed it out and put spence 🙄.
I thought so but I had to mention Gray. One positive this season has been the youngsters coming through, and we still have a couple we have signed but can`t join til they are 18 haven`t we?

Ange's system is flawed.
I quite like the guy, and obviously I want his team to be great.
But making the full backs sprint up and back and up and back and up and back is pointless for 3 reasons
1) Their hamstrings will burst
2) They are always out of position and chasing back in chaos
3) They aren't even any good when inside, they just get in the way
3b) Porro is a brilliant crosser and whenever he is inside he turns to pass it to the wing and gesticulates that nobody is there, because he himself should be there

The minutes Gray, Bergvall and Moore to a lesser degree this season is such difficult circumstances will massively advance their developments
I felt Gray would play a bit, but not Bergvall and here we are almost March and they have played pretty much every game in Grays case

And in case I wasn't clear before....I Don't LIKE IT.
Doku had all the time in the world and I don't like how Ange never seems to want to nullify any teams obvious play.

We are too slow. And when we do pick it up teams can't cope. We just do it like 5 times in a game. I'm just making up stats

What does Tel actually do? I know he is young and its only a few games but he walks around like he is the best player on the pitch, almost as if he is doing us a favour. He doesn’t press properly, isn’t the best at holding onto the ball, seems to lose it when he dribbles. I hope he proves me wrong but he is not looking like a £60m player.

He isn't a CF that's for sure

Sure, but that doesn't mean the way they were thrown in is ideal. Blooding young players is a careful dance of giving them just enough minutes to grow, but not so many as to burn them out. To put them in reasonably challenging situations, but not situations so hopeless that it dents their confidence.

It's worked out and Gray and Bergvall both look fearless. But it's very easy for it to have gone wrong, and even Postecoglou has admitted that he would have done it differently if he had a choice.

Indeed, he *has* done it differently with Moore, whom he's being quite protective of in comparison with Bergvall and Gray.

He is a huge gamble for that fee
And one I wouldn’t make myself
Said it before but Delap is the guy and 2/3 the price.
Tel may well develop. He has similar style to Henry when he was at Juve IMO and e know what happened there. But Henry had that pace to burn

20 minutes or so aside it was more meh, looked like we would be cut open most game and didn't offer that much going forward

Maddison/berg/gray/Odobert had good games

What is he then. Left wing? People in Germany keeps saying he is a CF

He wants to play as a CF. But he's clearly physically overmatched in the Premier League, and a little too easy to bully to be a lone CF.

Suspect he'd look really good in a two up front with someone more physically robust like Solanke. His playstyle reminds me a little of a young Defoe, though JD had more pace about him than Tel does.

In the meantime, I'd guess his future is returning to that left-wing inside forward role for now, if he's up for it. It will be easier for him than labouring against PL giants as the centre-forward.
