Levy sacking him while the noise is loudest against him would be a PR debacle for him. But the question is does he care? I would say yes. He is very present as a fan at the games. He wants us to do well. But he is not goof at football stuff.

It’s what he does though Luton, he gets rid of managers when the fans start to turn on Levy and the board which buys him another 12-24 months until the next guy starts to struggle.
It's a chicken and egg scenario - fans turn on the chairman when results are poor > results are poor because the manager is failing > a manager who is failing is at risk of being sacked.

I think there are a few things in Ange’s favour that you allude to.
1. Sacking him now after the most vocal “anti Levy” chants would not be a good look.
2. Levy still gets pelters over sacking Jose before a cup final. To sack a manager who has an injury ravaged squad while he has a one goal lead in a semi final would also be a bad look. Especially when said manager has a history of delivering silverware in his second season.
3. I think Levy genuinely likes Ange. Ange isn’t like many other managers. He’s fairly straightforward and he speaks the same language as business people sometimes. Certainly more so than previous managers.
I think Ange should be fired at this point. But Levy’s PR is in the toilet. The only way that doesn’t get even worse is if Ange is a success.
However, at some point even that becomes no justification for sticking with him. I think we’ve passed that point already but it’s not my opinion that counts here.

I've never really understood this statement. Buy hims another 24 months from what? He's not going to sack himself is he. The teams success is the boards success. People might not like the way the club is run, but we're a consistant top 6 team. I want us to push on, but accept that it's not the way the club is run so that is that. For us to challenge we need the combination of manager and good buys. At various times we've had one but not the other, hopefully going forward we get both.

Thats pretty much the same story at every club.
It changes when you buy players that turn out to be quality and employ a manager that turns out to be quality. It's hard to have certainty about any of that the moment they sign.
Get both right at the same time we've got a big chance.
Get one right and we have a good chance
Get both wrong we have no chance.
There's no shame in the cycle, as in much of life...you keep trying.

Yep. I’m emotionally invested and don’t hide it. It bothers me less and less with each year and I get more detached. But yeah I find it weird that so many are seemingly happy to give him a never ending pocket of time to run the club whilst managers and players get finite time.

Another 24 months before the fans get on his back again. I think this the first time in his tenure that the fans are getting more vocal in disapproval of him, and it’s getting more attention in the media. Will it change anything? We’ll see.

We have to win a minimum of 5 games out of the 16 to avoid the drop, (might be less but I would expect us to be aiming for at least that). As most Spurs fans realise, we haven't won a game in the PL since November that's almost 3 months ago! We are losing to top half sides and to teams below us.
To compound this an increasingly desperate Ange is playing players who are injured and not playing players who could give us something, ( I've seen posters saying Reguillon is not really an option given the trajectory of his career, but wasn't this the argument with Spence previously?) and is making baffling decisions around tactics, none of which is getting us out of trouble. His interactions with fans and media suggest he's really struggling to cope with the pressure. In that scenario can he really make rational decisions? Well the results atm suggest no.
I think keeping him any longer is suicidal. Mason may not be a long term option but we need a change. Munn and Lange also deserve the boot for putting the club in this position.
Edit I don't think Levy is concerned about the PR around sacking Ange. If we go down not only will the PR be off the scale terrible but the financial hit will be massive.

It's not really about giving him time though. It's not like we as fans could vote him out. No one is going to sack him. The best we could hope for is that Enic sells to someone else, and that that someone else is better than Levy at this job, which of course isn't a given.

What's the metric that we're judging him buy do you think? What should be happening that isn't and how should that be put in place and what will it require from the board?
I was at the game yesterday, what are the Levy Out chanters wanting instead, this is what I don't understand? Outside of financial doping what will change with a new owner. Liverpool/Arsenal/Villa etc our peers, are they run that much differently to us, the Liverpool fans I know are always moaning about the spend of their board. They just got the right combination of signings and manager when we decided to build a stadium. I've always belived that if we stayed at WHL for another season we would have won silverware, but the reality is we had the best team for 2 seasons, most wins, fewest losses, best GD and won nothing. That's not on the board, it's just life.

We arent getting 5 wins. We have got 7 in 23. That was when we were playing better than we currently are (but still brick). We will be lucky to get 3 from the remaining games.
I will say from the following, Southampton at home we should win, and thats about it. Cant see us beating any of the others, not even Ipswich away. Our luck will run out against Utd of late as they will get better by the time we play them.

Exactly, look at Utd, they got some investment after 20 years of the glazers but they are still there. To think people believe Levy will just go, "yeh I will sell now and reduce the price so I can get out" is quite funny.
