Maybe I’m the only one but although I respect history, and know it’s why we are where we are, I don’t care to always review it. Does that mean that I don’t reflect on the past? Of course not. Every player, every manager and member of coaching staff, every supporter, has some level of influence on the club’s journey but what really matters? Now.

People say we don’t win trophies. I think this season only 2 teams in the Premier League won trophies. No one else. Opposition supporters like Arsenal crowing about success years ago like… do you live in the past? Or do you live in the now? The past has already happened, it’s done. It’s about what you are achieving NOW. We will be in the Champions League, Arsenal will be in the Europa League. We have a top top level manager, they have a manager with Lego hair who somehow fits the unhappy filter. A manager that thinks it’s a good season to bottle 4th.

How does the number of goals any team has scored impact a team now and going forward? It’s an interesting side note but it’s about now and building forwards. We have the joint top scoring player of 2021/22 and England’s current best striker. We are well set going forwards. Looking forward to next season and hopefully for chance of real success.

So I see statistics like those in the video and think, wow, fun… but it’s of little relevance to now. City and Liverpool are the best two teams in the league, whatever the rest of it says and it’s down to us to rise and to fully challenge them. Let’s make the right signings, let’s train hard, let’s push them further next season!

Really interesting to see how late London/the South was to the party.

The Goons "retaining" that post war top flight position really was a sliding doors moment.

Also, show this to the next person that criticises Levy.

First two vids... Transfer spending and wages. Seems like higher wages translate into better on pitch performances. Or it confirms our poor player recruitment performance over the years. Or both.

Take into the player sales aswell (the last vid posted). We sold some big names for big money and reinvested.

Because higher wages attract the best players? Who'd have guessed!

watching the videos it seems that over the years, compared to us arsenal had the better strategy with less transfer spending and higher wages. not sure how to factor player sales into it.
