Pierre-Emile Højbjerg

Here it is - Not sure Højbjerg sees him to be honest

That's a bit weird. Did they congratulate each other a bit later on?

Edit: Checked the Twitter comments and apparently he did the same after the last game!

Since Lamela left, he's picked up the schithouse mantle and carried it fairly well. Wish players like Doherty or Bergwijn joined in. Don't have to take a suspension, just leave a mark every now and then. Y'know, get a couple of complimentary social media posts from Erik.

He suits these type of matches, his war dog mentality is perfect. Now we have a little bit of depth in midfield we can hopefully pick and choose the matches he plays. Was also good that he knows he has to keep the performance level high or his place is under pressure.

Thought he was fine against Burnley…. It wasn’t a bad performance at all. We lost the game as our 5 (supposedly) attacking players didn’t create anything of note and we’re poor at defending set pieces.

If I was playing with them I would find it very easy to ignore Dier and Hojbjerg. What do they do, scowl, clap their hands and shout “come on lads”, it’s laughable, they are the most limited players on our books they should stfu.

Clearly we are not competitive enough in the middle of the pitch and you don’t make up for those inadequacies by shouting at someone else who is already struggling trying to do their job and yours.

It’s one thing making yourself heard quite another to be an effective footballer.

He waits and waits for the ball, then lets it roll under his foot, then gesticulates that someone else should have been there? Strange?
