Had a good game, the shot in 1st half where he lifted the ball over the defender, then smashed on the volley was outrageous.

Not sure the club should hype him up. He did stand out yesterday. But we've seen too many promising starlets not make the grade. Edwards was over-hyped when the kid simply needed focus and dedication. Still can't believe we used GNK and the other french flop as subs while leaving Edwards out the side. He would have done more against tiring defenders.

John - @Bullet it is funny calling him John - had good close control, and fired off a couple of shots from distance. Could play in the Euro Conference or whatever its call.

My mate who coaches there said he has incredible technique added to athleticism.

A central midfielder who is predominantly right-footed but is skilled with both feet, Nile John was born and raised in White City, Shepherd’s Bush.

Having joined the Club when he was seven, Nile demonstrated his goalscoring talents in our Under-16 side during 2018/19, while he also appeared twice for our Under-18s.

In his first season as a full-time scholar with us in 2019/20, Nile made nine appearances for our Under-18s in all competitions, scoring twice, before the season ended prematurely because of the Coronavirus pandemic. He also made one substitute appearance in the Under-19 UEFA Youth League in a remarkable 9-2 home win over Crvena zvezda.

He was in fine form during the first half of the 2020/21 campaign, regularly excelling for the Under-18s and in, January, 2021, he stepped up to make his first appearances at Under-23 level.

The midfielder has also represented England at Under-15, Under-16 and Under-17 levels.

The villa scout I know mentioned him about 2 years ago and said he was playing as a 10. I didn’t pay much attention at the time
Now he is playing as an 8 and really box to box

That was something I’d read about him. He has a turn of pace to beat a man as soon as he gets the ball. That’s very rare for a CM

In the modern game when you're playing against robotically coached defences you need players who can go pass the midfield shield in front on them as it creates far more angles to exploit. It's why Moura looks more effective in the middle.
