I’m bored so I thought I’d try to sell and buy some players, so here goes

I’d like us to go out and get in Anderson, maybe Botman or Gunter or Tarkowski,
CM who is comfortable with the ball and running (could be Tanguy I know) but zakaria, soumare or Bissouma please
And Ings would cost £30m ish
I think we could get in Lookman on a loan to buy too
That lot could be mainly funded by selling these two for £10m each ; sissoko and Aurier
Ben Davies would get maybe £15m and so would Lamela
Then sell dier and Sanchez for whatever we can get (maybe £30m or more for the pair)
Could sell winks of course but not sure that would work with the squad needing home growns
Then the big call is selling Tanguy or dele or Lo Celso. You
would get £30m for one of them or more maybe I’d say
It’s football manager I know but I’m bored today
 
I would be amazed if Lamela and Davies got 15m each. Who exactly would buy them?

I would now they can't come up get Brooks in from Bournemouth.

It's pure fantasy football as we'll never manage to shift 11 players let alone sign 9 new ones but that would be a way of operating somewhere close to net zero on transfer fees and strengthening the team considerably and squad overall with players of good ages coming in as well.

That sort of ambition for a squad overhaul might also even persuade Kane to want to stay?

Pereira would be a bargain at that fee

Would be great to trade him out for Lamela and a few £M
The guys only ever impressed me when I’ve seen him play
Very direct and smart with the ball and knows to shoot
Can always offer a player on loan too to sweeten the deal
 
Not going to play the guess fees game but the strategy for me

Clear out squad (probably worth hiring a DoF just for the getting rid part) -> Dier, Sanchez, Winks, Sissoko, Davies, Hart, Gazza, Rose, CCV, Foyth, Doherty, Dele, Lamela (13 out)

I'd keep Kane (priority), Bale, Lucas, Ndombele & Lo Celso for at least one more season

Add youth with Sess, Skipp & Tanganga next season

Go all out on a CB (we should break our transfer record here)
Next priority is CM, playmaker with ability to retain possession
I'd be tempted by Vini at the right price but considering his agent, I suspect that is DOA
Perhaps a prospect at RB.

Toby has been our best CB this season, by a considerable distance - why would you have him on the out list? (Especially ahead of Dier)
 
Players are obvious but since we have upgraded the stadium, training and medical facilities i would also review and ensure we had top level managemnt and support staff.

I would set high professional standards and loyalty to the club would not be enough. Ex player? Demonstrate with competitive experience against best outsider.

Player recruitment - Experienced DOF like Campos who will challenge the investment in players

Coaching staff - demonstrate ability to value add players

Medical/nutrition - Olympic standard like Pool

Performance science - specialist for throw in etc for pool...and objective assessments to let players know to get fit or sold...even if you are Dele Alli

Players will be phase ii and a multi year journey to improve and sell at a higher price to increase first team stock value.

He's been hit and miss at best.
But mainly it sends out a message, we aren't carrying people anymore.
We are nobody's second choice, you wanted out, well you are out. He is expendable.
 
All in on Grealish, build the team around him and Dele.
After that focus on Center backs.

Get rid of as much chaff as possible, use that money to fill in the gaps.

Also, get rid of Hitchen, I'll find players myself :)

You are being kind there.
Difference is that they are still youngish and have potential to be trained and improved.
Toby doesn't.
We can't jettison them all and be left with just Tanganga and rodon.
Bring in someone like Anderson find a pairing between him and a n other to keep us competitive until next season and upgrade.
As much as I would want to have a massive clear out it's not practical.

Sanchez perhaps has something to work with. Dier has nothing at all to work with IMO, I don't think he has a single attribute that will make him a top 6 level player.
