Levy is addressing a key point head on, at least:
" I’ve spoken already about the need to revert back to our core DNA of playing attacking, entertaining football and Fabio and I believe Nuno is the man who can take our talented group of players, embrace our young players coming through and build something special.”
Quite happy with him. He was highly highly rated a couple of years back, funny how fashions and people's stock changes. Quite a charismatic leader. Knows the league is a big one. An Italian manager who'd have to get up to speed wasn't ideal. Wolves were extremely competent under Nuno - can call him by his first name now he's signed He made them into a bonafide PL side. Can he make us into a bonafide CL side? Why not.
I can't believe it! I thought journalists didn't know anything! How could they possibly have reported this before it was unveiled? What an insane coincidence! I can't believe it.
Welcome, Nuno. Not the worst we could get under the circumstances, I suppose.
As I mentioned in the other thread, I note Levy tackled his DNA statement head on by explicitly saying that Nuno can deliver on it.
So it's there up front. Not to be ignored.
Seems like a sensible move to me and I'm glad we've finally got it wrapped up, welcome Nuno.
Now on to the unenviable task of trying to sort the squad out, I'd feel bad for any coach coming in considering the imbalance of players and the Kane question hanging over us but it feels like something of a fresh start.
Yay, we've got one of those manager people that everyone keeps talking about, how very refreshing. Certainly not my first choice but glad to have him and lets get behind that bearded wizard. COYS
