Your top 5 Spurs goals

5. Laurent Robert (2nd) in the 4-0 at St. James' Park, 13 December 2003
4. Laurent Robert (1st) in the 4-0 at St. James' Park, 13 December 2009

Obafemi Martins. He must be pushing 25 by now.

Saw four of those in person

1. Gazza v Scum. 91 Cup final. Had it all. Immense strike. Occasion. Passion from the fans.
2. Hoddle v Liverpool at Anfield. 30 yard screamer to silence the Kop. My all time favorite player and one of his best.
3. Ginola v Barnsley. Shame it was up at a wet ground. But lovely skilly and finish.
4. Waddle v Southampton. At the Old dell. Lashing it down in thick mud and he hits a sumptuous long range strike.
5. Carr v Man Utd. Arrow of a strike. And a nice win.

Notable Mentions.
a. Kanoute v Everton
b. Bale v Wet Spam.
c. Anderton v Leeds.

Also, I remember this goal particularly well. Back in '99, we were terrible that season (actually, we weren't that terrible that season, it was the season before we almost got relegated), I was 14 at the time and had to go with my parents up to a cabin in the mountains, and had been pleading with my dad to bring a TV-antenna to be able to maaybe, just maybe, catch our FA Cup match against Leeds on this tiny tiny black and white 12" TV. We got up there, and I could only get the signal in every now and then, but the game was on sure enough. Strangely, I got the signal turned in just right, juuust when the exact sequence in the Youtube video came on. There was much rejoycing.

I didn't get the rest of the game, the signal was lost again soon after, but Ginola scored a great goal as well, and we won 2-0. It was rare that we were on TV at all in those days, so everything counted.

I remember this game, we played SO well. Ginola had another amazing run and effort from distance which Martyn just fingertipped onto the post otherwise it would have been another classic Spurs goal which we'd have seen a lot. Ginola performed very well that day - which couldn't always be said under Graham!

edit - and here's the game highlights which I just found!

Nice find, thanks jerusalem! :) haha, it's funny how Graham thought ginola's effort went in! Blind old sod. :p

Immediate thoughts; I've tried not to read anyone else's thoughts first, so it's really the ones that have stuck in my memory:

1) Gazza vs Arsenal 1991
2) Lineker vs Porto 1991
3) Ginola vs Barnsley 1999
4) Lamela vs Asteras 2014
5) Anderton vs Leeds 1999

Most have already been linked here. I remember them more for what they meant at that point in my life than the moment itself, really.

5.) Lennon vs. Chelsea, November 2006 -

"...and Lennon with a chance...WILL THIS FINALLY BE TOTTENHAM'S DAY?"

4.) Stalteri vs West Ham, March 2007 -

"Defoe....OH, NO!"

3.) - Lennon vs. Arsenal, October 2008 -

"Modric...there to be hit! Deflection - hit the post! LENNON! FOUR-FOUR!"

2.) - Crouch vs AC Milan, February 2011.

"Two up and two back....Lennon to take on Yepes here...and he's away, Aaron Lennon! CROUCH!"

1.) Woodgate vs Chelsea, February 2008.

I don't actually remember the commentary here, because everything that came immediately after that moment remains a blur in my memory. All I remember is the sense of absolute elation that drove me to run barefoot down the warm Dubai roads, singing Spurs songs and thoroughly amusing the patrons of the local cafes, who sat sipping coffees and wondering at the kid sprinting joyfully down the street under the merrily twinkling stars of a limitless night sky.

Ginola versus Barnsley, every bit as good if not better than Villa at Wembley

Hoddles last goal when he plonked the goalie on his bum

Gazza one boot goal

This is one of my utter favs

Jurgen overhead kick

This is one of my favourites (the first one), and I was there. I think it is so underrated and is rarely mentioned when people talk about our great goals

Loving this thread. So many (too many) good candidates to choose from, really.

I'm in awe every time I see this one from Bale. Amazing technique - makes something so difficult look, well, so easy:

There were so many other brilliant goals from him that season too.
