Xavi Simons

The fact that he was even allowed to try perhaps explains a lot.
Its always like that. You feel ok after the snap. Its only when you try to run or kick the ball that you feel that you can't. Gazza in 91 was classic for that - he did his in the first challenge, not the second

The stream i was watching the commentators were saying its a good thing he is up on his feet and that the Tottenham Physios know what they are doing. A minute later Xavi does a run, pulls up and goes off on a stretcher.

Yep, says he's fudged for the season like every fudging injury we get...or so it seems

I mean aren’t we essentially fudged now? Unless Maddison can start playing some minutes and play well?

We just have so much of our attack injured it’s a joke.

Fingers crossed Simons’ knee isn’t as fecked as Kulusevski’s was around 12 months ago🤞

It’s tricky because it isn’t like these ACL injuries all happened at home and could therefore lead us to look at the home pitch as an issue. Maybe training pitches?

Surely though there is a deeper issue with some of these injuries? Even if it’s not the cause but the quality of treatment? I just can believe that we are just so incredibly unlucky to have had numerous, long term, impactful injuries and there isn’t a deeper lying issue here?

Didn’t we review the medical team last summer?

Reckon our training ground is not tough enough for their knees? Asking with blind ignorance
No ACLs are pure freaks caused by landing badly or getting your stud caught in the turf as the knee over-extends

There's no link to conditioning or long-term wear at all

The one correlation there is is to stud design. United ban players from wearing blades and have done since Ferguson. I wonder if we have such a policy (id imagine not considering the outcomes we are getting)?
