Xavi Simons

Still not complete so not celebrating just yet.

Won’t be a spurs player until he gets injured on international duty next week

ACL and hamstring comorbidity. Out for remainder of contract. Off to Chelsea on a free after. Debut against us, scores a hat trick. Read it here first.

£52m seems a really good price too.

Cheaper than all of MGW, Eze and Paz would have been, yet probably the best of them
Agreed. Not sure who I would have picked of those had I been given a choice at the start of the window, but Simons for sure would be up there.

Some uncertainties there of course, but overall a super exciting signing if it happens.

What about the informal stuff. fudge. Chelsea gonna nick him.

I’m actually getting hopeful too. Even we can fudge this up now. Or can we?

Still time for this to not happen

This year's media theme is "sabotage". The gutter press just aren't happy with players moving to clubs in a competitive landscape. There always has to be a first or second choice and one club sabotaging the other.

There are so many of these media guys just cheating a living.
And, of course, if a lot of their info comes through agents then they are ripe to carry agendas
