Would you work for Spurs for free?

The article is stupid. My friend works as a coach at a Premiership rugby club and everyone, including himself, started out with a year unpaid internship.

FYI he took out a loan for rent/food with no guarantee of a job afterwards. Having something like that on a resume is more than worth it
 
If I were younger and my life circumstances were different, why not? Moneys not the be all and end all of everything, and it's very much a foot in the door.
 
Are you guaranteed, if your work is decent, a job at the end of it? If not, you are a mug. "First rung on the ladder" my arse. Spurs are a company, just like all the others. Just because we love the team doesn't mean we want to kneel down and stick our arses up in the air ready to receive their blessing.

Thats not left wing, I'd certainly do it for free if that was the area i wanted to work in. Also, Hitler was not a left winger, it wasn't about left or right wing it was about power and such. Certainly when the nazi party had him and drexler as their leaders they had left wing tendencies but, when it became just hitler the socialist policies were dropped.
 
Absolute joke and an embarrassment in my opinion. Taking advantage of people in a desperate market and trying to hide their cheapskatedness by disguising it as an opportunity to gain 'real skills'.

Stuff like this really tinkles me off. No doubt this new recruit would slob their guts out, undertaking boring jobs for diddly squat while the players earn in a week what most earn in a year, playing a game they enjoy.
 
As said before, if i was a young lad and that's the industry i wanted to be in then hell yeah......some times to get to where you want to be in life and business you have to take some hits. Learning to live on a very tight budget for a year would also be beneficial in this day and age of spend spend spend.
