Would you take, say, Quatari cash injection to allow transfer competition?

Would work.

Though imo calling something 'new anything' is departed, because in 20 years it won't be new.

just to differentiate it from the original one - which you felt was a spiritual thing

like Milwalls New Den etc

and in 20 years it will still be newer than the old WHL

or in keeping with modern terminology

Autonomy's White Hart Lane V 1.2.0

Naming rights is the way the stadium will likely be paid for.

The value of these deals has increased greatly, it's not unreasonable to think we could get ?ú15-20 million per year for 20 years, hey presto, stadium paid for!! :)

The stadium will always be referred to as The Lane anyway. Possible 'The XXXXX Stadium @ White Hart Lane

We'd get a lot less in naming rights if the fans did not use the sponsors name when referring to the stadium. I think that this is one of the main reasons that Levy was interested in the Olympic stadium. A new stadium with naming rights away from Tottenham will not be called WHL by anyone and will be worth more as a result.

ARGH NO! I've waited through 20 years of brick whilst Abramovic and co. ruined football, don't waste it all now you b*st(rd!

Sadly, that is the only way that we will ever be able to fight for top 4 again and play in CL. This was the year we could have taken advantage of Chelsea and Arsenal being brick, but we ****ed it up. Chances of retaining our best players for next season are now slim, but that's only normal.

well uefa are talking of enlarging it to top 6 teams from major countries so i think we will play it again not that im all that bothered we get to see townsend and carroll in europa and see a bit more of mr kane. Im looking forward to it personally even if redknapp will kick the players in the legs before we play as he hates the cup matches.

I would take it in a heartbeat! I quite fancy having the best players down the lane and winning a trophy or two! the way things are going in another 5 years time the perenial champions league qualifiers will be out of sight wage wise and we will never get a chance at a league title again.

Bayern lost the 2010 CL final to Inter who are funded by the Moratti oil money....2012 and they lose the CL final at home to Chelsea and Abramovich's billions

Bayern are a properly run club, if they cant manage to achieve their objectives with all their good honest work then Tottenham Hotspur has no chance whatsover

Bayern CAN achieve their objectives. Just because Robben missed his penalty, it doesn't mean Bayern can't achieve their objectives
