If there was real mileage in these conspiracy claims, I would have expected Wikileaks to have been on to it... and to my knowledge they haven't. I just don't buy that the Americans would have been able to cover up a conspiracy like this... too many people would have had to be in the know to pull this off if it were a state sponsored act of terrorism.

thats a good point, surely Snowden would have grabbed it if it was there, it would make the Prism stuff seem minor
 
To say something is factually wrong doesn't necessarily mean a conspiracy is being alleged.
