For the 10 billionth time. The rules have been changed. We would still qualify if that happened.
Would Bassong still be suspended?

I can't comment about Blackburn, but in the 5 games at the start that Suarez missed Pool and City we're tied on points. With Suarez it was also a one-man show (two, if you add Sturridge who is outstanding when fit). We have more of a team, so although a knock to Kane would affect us, it wouldn't to the extent a knock to Suarez would have affected Pool. And if that wasn't the case, then only a world class backup striker would be able to keep us in the same form.Other teams will have a lot to say about where we finish this season.
Arsenal have won two games in six, against Saudi Sportswashing Machine and Bournemouth. In any normal season that's not title-winning form. They also haven't won in the last three.
City seem to be vulnerable to teams who want it more. They are unbeaten in the last six though. They can't rely on Aguero staying fit and Kompany not being available is a big loss for them.
I'm really up for the City game on February 14th. We've already beaten them 4-1 this season and if we can beat them again (and I'll take any ugly, dirty, lucky win) I'll really believe we can win the league.
We all know how important Kane is to us, and to be honest, if he gets injured there's no guarantee that any back up striker would hit the ground running. Here's what I said back in late December:
(I am not arguing that Kane is as good as Shearer or Suarez, just that having a reliable striker can make a hell of a difference)
anyone, erm, noticed the, er, erm, goal difference
and since when do we get penalties?
Teams at the top get more penalties because they spend more time in their opponent's box. When you're near the top of the league. Teams at the top get the majority of the decisions. Unless you are Chelsea of course, there is a conspiracy against them that goes all the way up to the Vatican.

I've got faith in the manager and the team and if they perform to their best I'm sure a top 4 spot is achievable, should injuries and loss of form occur we may not do it, but I do not see it as failure, the team has progressed this season and I believe if we continue to progress at that level trophies will follow.

Not when you adjust for the amount of time spent in possession in the opponents' box they don'tAnd because the top teams get more decisions.
Yep. It also explains the so called "Home team bias" too.I don't know how to use the like button.

I put money on us finishing champions, but think we'll finish 3rd if key players stay fresh. Despite shipping 3 players out with 0 incoming, we have a decent squad now. Son, Njie, Chadli, Wimmer all can play their part in the second half of the season. Just pray Kane stays fit and ferocious.
